Hooked! Ch06 Early April Report
Hello everyone! My computers dying again, which just feels like a cherry on top right now. But, I'm still able to work, for now at least. Anyone know a good way to problem solve sudden shut-downs? I'm getting help at the moment, so I don't think it's super urgent. But if anyone's got experience with that, let me know.
We're getting well on into the NSFW scene here. Now, I could be off, but I think I'm about halfway done with the animations I need to make. Maybe I'll end up making more than I originally scoped, but I think that's about where I'm at. I know everyone's waiting, and I'm very thankful to all of you. I'm trying to throw a lot of effort into this NSFW scene. So hopefully it will be worth the wait.
Also, I've decided to expand the time these links stay valid from one month to two. And another thing is I fucked up and rendered the spit in one of the animations in low poly. That'll be fixed by the time it's in the game.

I use an app called MSI afterburner that shows my temp at all times and allows me to control my fans to cool it down when it starts getting hotter. However I just recently seated some new RAM and am experiencing the same kernel 41 randomly. Keep me posted if you find the fix!
Will do! I actually installed the same program today. Had another shutdown. Installed two new fans and am going to start underclocking my GPU to see if that helps.

Not at the moment. They are outdated after a month and so I don’t maintain them after that. But you can look forward to the next one in a couple days!

It's nice that our protag has the biggest tiddies of the cast.

As many have said, PSU could be the issue but if you use a program to view your cpu temps and it's getting high then it could be you cpu cooler that's dying. Depends on if you have an AIO or air cooling. Is the sudden shutting off instant or do you get the actual shutting down sequence?

It could be over heating too, did you overclock your cpu or GPU, because its common after longterm usage, or shit it might be something as simple as a bugged out driver
Its might be a defect in the PSU or a short, and judging the quality of work you put out rendering can be taxing on GPU causing an overdraw spike. Its a possibility worth looking into
Yeah I wonder about a short too. Could ofc be a fault in the PSU but I’d like to see if I can rule out everything else before I start buying components. Do you know how to check for shorts? I plugged everything in and out and that at least didn’t fix it.

You should go into event veiwer and see if it made a log of it shutting off
It's a critical error, code 41 kernel power. Can't see much info other than that

I thought so too, at first. My power usage seems to stay well below 500W though, and I've got a 1000W PSU. I've gotten tips to use Hardware Monitor, will check that next when I get the chance
