Stagea bodykit primed and ready for paint.

We've officially moved out of the fiberglassing and mould making stage of this project and on to final bodywork and primer.

I spent this past week block sanding down all the fiberglass parts and prepping them for primer.

I'll be doing all the priming in stages as my shop isn't big enough to do them all at once, so for now I'm just tackling the widebody pieces.

After scuffing and prepping all the panels and addressing any remaining pinholes or airbubbles I applied 3 thick coats of filler primer that should give me everything I need to do the final sanding with 600 grit on the DA.

It really doesn't sound like much but this was about 4 or 5 days of sanding and priming but I didn't feel like just that was enough for a video so I decided to quickly throw the primed panels on the car so we could get a preview of the finished car.

I can't get over how cool it looks so I went a little crazy with the photos.

And as a hidden secret for my Patrons, I've got the paint ordered and I wont say what it is, but I will give you a clue that it's a factory Nissan paint code. I wanted to keep it OEM and very tasteful with this build. So nothing crazy like a chrome gold wrap or anything like that, it should be very clean.


In other news, I had a pretty cool package show up the other day.

My Hot Wheels Legends 2023 trophy has arrived along with one of the first of the chimera models ever made.

A few people have been tagging me in some of the leaked images of this thing that have been floating around but now that I'm starting to see a lot of the Hot Wheels 2025 B case unboxing videos popping up on YouTube I guess it's free game to share this now.

I love this thing, it came out so damn awesome. The amount of detail they captured is unreal and I actually love that the graphic on the side is the exact same as the one on the real car because they asked me if I still had the illustrator file I used on the original car and I did. So that detail is perfectly captured.


I'm working on getting the video up soon but I'll be jumping on a plane in less than 48 hours so hopefully it uploads before then.

We're so close to done with this Stagea build and there will be a brief pause between this and the start of the next build but I've already started planning the design and arranging sponsors. It is going to be on a whole other level to this current build.
