San Sequoia: For Rent (WIP)
THIS IS A LONG POST ... but worth every word.
We are literally ONE DAY away from the official release of the new Sims 4: 'For Rent' expansion pack! 🎉 I am so excited because I have always wanted my Sims to be landlord millionaires, lol. It's giving Landgraab... 💅🏽
I have been working on something really special for you all behind the scenes... a new (minimal custom content) save file in San Sequoia. I am 90% done - and plan to release really soon. I want to implement the new features, incorporate the new content (clothing, build objects, etc.), and simply make everything PERFECT for you guys.
As of last night, the families are complete. 😍 So let me introduce you all to the 16 (yes girl, sixteen) new families that are coming with this save:
The Ashford's
After the death of his grandfather, Scott inherited an old abandoned warehouse in the Anchorpoint Wharf area of San Sequoia. While he saw opportunity, his wife, Amy, saw a potential money pit. After much convincing, the Ashford’s moved to the city with hopes of a smooth renovation… and a smooth pregnancy.
The Beckett's
In the beginning, Kevin’s son, KJ, would only come visit on the weekends and maybe some holidays. Now that he’s growing older, KJ’s mother recognized that their son could benefit from living with his father; a positive male influence. Of course, Kevin welcomed this idea with open arms. There’s nothing he loves more than his son. Speaking of love, Kevin hasn’t had much time for romance… but he’s not opposed to it either.
The Callahan's
Unlike her twin sister, Leah, has never been a romantic. She has been a single mother (and loving it) from the beginning. Even her relationship with Luna’s father was more of a friendship. It ended amicably. He moved on, and Leah moved to San Sequoia. Oh, and then Alexis moved in with Leah and Luna. At first, living with her high maintenance twin sister was fun and nostalgic. But lately, Leah has been craving her own space again.
The Carson's
Newlywed couple, Justin and Colin, are so excited to start their new lives together. Immediately after their honeymoon, they signed a lease for a new luxury townhouse in San Sequoia. Although they are new to the area, they are excited to explore. From new surrounding to new friendships, these two are ready to get into it all… together.
The Clarke's
At first, living with Brian’s parents was fine. After all, they did help a lot during their first pregnancy. However, now that the Brian and Rachel are expecting baby number two, they are eager to find a place of their own.
The Cromwell's
Fully aware that she is not living up to her parent’s expectations, Dawn is tired of trying. She spent her entire life trying to appease the Cromwell’s. However, once she forfeited her opportunity to go to university by getting pregnant with her son, Dylan, Dawn knew there was no chance of ever getting back in their good graces. Little does she know, Dale and Dorothy only want the best for their daughter and their grandson. They may be a lot of things, but their love for Dawn is unconditional.
The Gilberts'
The Gilberts are direct descendants of the land developers who helped establish the Gilbert Gardens area of San Sequoia. In fact, they still own most of the properties around. Many people would assume that with so much fortune and local fame, the Gilberts must be the snootiest bunch in town. However, despite their shiny simoleons, the Gilberts aren’t so bad… as long as you aren’t stepping into their territory.
The Gonzalez's
On again and off again - that’s the entire theme of Adriel and Alejandra’s relationship. Adriel even proposed to pacify Alejandra during one of their frequent arguments. It wasn’t the proposal of her dreams, but she was satisfied. While planning the wedding, they found out that they were pregnant. The wedding was cancelled to save funds for the baby’s arrival. Adriel is secretly relieved, but Alejandra can’t help but wonder if this wedding will ever happen.
The Hale's
When Ruth first received her diagnosis, she kept her illness a secret for a long time. She did not want her only daughter, Robin, to worry about her while she was away in university. Despite having her first child later in life, Ruth worked hard to make sure that Robin succeeded. And she did. She graduated, landed her dream job, and moved into her first apartment. However, as soon as she learned of her mother’s illness, she dropped everything to provide for her mother.
The Holmes'
The Holmes’ family is living their multi-generational dream. After their wedding, Tate and his wife, Melissa, decided to build their home on the property next door to Tate’s parents. As a close-knit family who loves to entertain, being together has been the best case scenario. Oh, and the lake in the backyard is nice also.
The Laurier's
Creative writer, Kendra is raising her daughters to embrace their creativity. Kendall and Kristin, inspire everything she does. Her series of self-published children’s books are all short stories based on them. Her bestseller, “Kendall Looses a Tooth”, has been popular in the community. Now, Kendall is sort of a mini “celebrity” at school. Lately, Kendra has been trying to finish her book, “Kristin is Clingy”. But it has been difficult because… well, Kristin is clingy.
The Nixon's
Sure, Nicole’s confidence can be intimidating. But, it took years of self-love to repair Nicole once broken self-esteem. Like many women who finally decide to leave a toxic relationship, Nicole cut her hair, started a new career, and focused on being the best mother to her son, Noah. She bossed up. Does seeing other happy couple make her a little jealous? Of course - because ultimately, Nicole would love to find her person.
Pierce and Dawson
Frat brothers, Nate and Matt have always considered themselves brothers from different mothers. After graduation, they decided to share a lease, split the rent, and keep the party going. Although Matt doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon, Nate is learning that he may actually want more in life other than bars and booze.
The Singh's
Dhruv and Deepti are a successful young couple who both managed to climb the career ladder fairly quickly. In fact, Dhruv recently received another promotion which required relocation to San Sequoia. Excited about the opportunity to experience life in a new area, Dhruv and Deepti quickly secured their place in a luxury brownstone near the wharf. These days, the Singh’s seem to have so much to celebrate… including their first pregnancy.
The St. James'
From the outside, the St. James family seems to have it all. On the inside, they all have their own insecurities. With all of the new development in San Sequoia, Ken is desperate to tap into the real estate industry. Unfortunately, his wife, Kathy, is too busy tapping into their funds. She’d rather cover her own insecurities in designer clothing. Their daughter, Kate, is upholding her title as a self-absorbed diva… but deep down, she’s actually interested in real things - like science.
The Whitlock's
When the Whitlock family purchased their beautiful new home in Hopewell Hills, the sellers offered to include the “charming” house next door for a deal too good to be true. When they arrived, they realized that “charming” was actually “alarming”. Now they are on a mission to renovate and rent this property to recoup their losses.

So excited for this. They all look great.
Thank you, Tiffaney! I put so much thought into their personalities, backstories, and how they "fit" into the San Sequoia lore.
