The Blindian Family

Recently, I received a request on Tumblr to create a "Blindian" family; which consists of an interracial Black and Indian couple. I thought this was a beautiful idea - and the Puri family was created! I hope you all enjoy them - backstories below 🤎

Ishann's Family

Aubrey has always been family-oriented. Luckily, she married into a big family who welcomed her with open arms. Even when her own family was unsupportive of her marriage, The Puri’s have always rooted for Ishaan and Aubrey’s union. Now that she is a mother, Aubrey vows to always support her daughter’s endeavors. Okay - maybe not during Ava’s wild toddler stage…

Adya's Family

Adya is the oldest of the Puri siblings. Throughout the years, she has managed to work her way up the culinary ladder… even at the expense of her own marriage. Apparently, he couldn’t handle the heat in the kitchen. Life as a sous chef can be quite demanding; but no matter what - Adya’s sweet daughter, Arti, will always be her top priority.

Hassan's Family

Hassan is the second oldest of the Puri siblings. He makes a comfortable living as a corporate salaryperson, which allows his wife, Deepti, to stay home and manage their household… and attend weekly group fitness classes. After having the twins, Rohan and Ravi, the couple swore they would never put themselves through that level of sleep deprivation again. However, Deepti recently got baby fever, and then their baby girl Rashmi was born.

Dhruv's Family

Dhruv is the fourth Puri sibling. He’s often overlooked in the family dynamic simply because he’s the “quiet one”. While his brothers were enjoying the outdoors during their youth, Dhruv was often found indoors playing video games. His wife, Priya, is quite the homebody as well. Her job as an editor-in-chief is quite demanding; but nothing is more demanding than having triplets. Vishan, Vihaan, and Veda have been her toughest critics yet!

Divya's Family

Divya Puri-Patel is the youngest of the Puri siblings. As a creative, Divya has always had a great eye for design. In university, her friends would hire her to decorate their dorms. Over the years, Divya’s interior design portfolio has awarded her many opportunities. However, she’s been focused on personal projects recently. After designing her dream wedding, with her husband Amir, she immediately began working on the nursery for their son, Dev. Divya works hard to curate the "perfect" life.
