Simkhira's Small Town Save File: V1
New Year, New Save File ✨
Simkhira’s Small Town Save File is inspired by my little hometown in Southeast, USA. For this save, I wanted to create a world that caters to all of my favorite gameplay styles (country core, university core, legacy core, etc.) in a nostalgic way that made sense to me. Over the past couple of months, I have been able to transform Willow Creek into something that I am really proud of. I hope you all enjoy the lots, the backstories, and the small town political lore just as much as I do.

What’s Included in Version 1:
Willow Creek
21 Lots (5 Community Lots / 16 Move-In Ready Residential Lots)
17 Households (50 Sims / 64 including animals)
All of the Sims have relevant careers, skills, lifestyles, public reputations, likes and dislikes, gender preferences, romance preferences, turn ons and turn offs, relationship dynamics, defined walkstyles, and defined voices.
Disclaimer: I own all of the EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits.
Custom Content (Included):
This save file contains 1GB worth of custom content. I have included these files in the download to save any hassle. If the game opens and says you are missing content, no you are not. I have play-tested this save file using only the files included and did not find any issues.

The calendar mod allows the game to have 12 weeks in a “year”. So, each week is a “month” (i.e. Week 1 = January, Week 2 = February, etc.). The calendar holidays have been created according to this method.

How to Install Save Files:
Make a backup of your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.
Download the file, unzip, and place the file in your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.
If you already have a file with the same name, change the slot number to a number that you don’t have. (i.e. change Slot_00000000d.save to Slot_00000009d.save)
Once you open your game, you will see “Simkhira’s Small Town Save V1”. Open it!
Once opened, “Save As” to create a copy of the save file for your own gameplay.
If the game says that you are missing custom content, no you aren’t. I have double-checked.
Lastly, enjoy and have fun!

UPDATE: If you are a Windows user experiencing issues with the wallpapers - this is because of the DirectX11 update for The Sims 4. I have used Sims 4 Studio (S4S) to update all outdated files. Please re-download! Everything should be working now. 🤞🏽

I love your saves so much and have been a fan for a long time because I owned all DLC. However, I do not own the Maker Packs and would need to spend 27 dollars to catchup to what you include in the save. If it did not affect my sims (being naked) I would not complain. Could you offer a save that does NOT use Maker Packs for those of us who still play the game but no longer support the direction EA is going in. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

I'm so sad the links have gone for this save file i played it so much until my PC went boom boom i still have my saved game in the save file and it still loads like a dream with no problems but im missing all the CC is there anywhere or anyway we can get access to the CC that was used in the save file?

Hi! I am so in love with your new save file, but I think it may be corrupt. Ciudad Enormorada won't appear, but rather the infamous white screen. I'm able to exit to the main menu, but I was hoping you might have a backup save before this occurred. From what I've read, it's part of the rental issue. I can see how much love/work you put into this - I read the whole "newspaper! - so I'd love to be able to play in it.

Hi! I love your save file and how realistic it is! I am very excited to get started with it, but I am running into an issue where the world around the lot is completely empty. Any idea what the problem could be? I only have your CC/mods installed alongside T.O.O.L & BetterExceptions. I also tried installing all the k707 nature replacement collections. I hope there is a simple fix and that I can enjoy your save file very soon!

Hi! I really loved the idea of this save file but it's really annoying that i keep getting a BE error when I load, about a "slot_component", people were saying it's about the awingedllama_WillowCreekandNewcrest_Emptied file not being updated, but I deleted it and the problem still persist and it's very annoying wherever you go to have a pop up about it, idk if it's really this that's causing the problem or anything else, but I really love this and would love to see an updated version of it, without all of these problems, or if there's any way to fix this. Much love regardless xx
i know this comment is 7 months old but i've been getting the same thing, its definitely something wrong with the save file although it wasny doing it when i first downloaded it didnt do it but after about a week but its been happening consistently for for the past few months now
I really love this save! For some reason when I loaded into the save today all of the deco items in the world were missing and now my word is completely empty :( do you know what could've maybe caused this?
I'm having this problem too! I downloaded all the CC, entered a lot, edited a sim, when I came out... all the furniture/deco was gone. :(

I've been LOVING this save and all the families so far! The Sanders and Duncans have been my go to's thus far. I am running into a small issue with the couples. I thought it was funny at first and just a glitch in my game but -- the couples seem to be not interested in woohooing with the opposite gender? despite trying to fix it from CAS and with the RPO mod for some reason..

this is so cute! i did all the steps to download it and it's in the correct file in my sims folders, but the save file isn't coming up in my 'load game' section </3 any idea why this isn't working? :)

I found out what is causing the BE error. Sadly it is the awingedllama_WillowCreekandNewcrest_Emptied file. It normally occurs in live mode. Hopefully it gets updated.
hi, some of the deco buildings that were placed have additional buildings in overlaying on them. It seems that the original scenery is still showing. Is there any way I can fix this?
Hey! Is this happening on a residential rental lot? I learned that the TOOL mod has been duplicating items placed on residential rentals. 😫 As of right now, there is no fix. I am hoping this is updated before V2.
Hey there - I'm having an issue I don't know how to solve. The wallpaper are question marks when I go into one of the houses. I've downloaded all required CC, including CC, so I'm not sure what's happening with it. Edit: I want to add that it doesn't conflict with what I already have installed because I did a fresh folder using only the mods for the save and I still see it. I think maybe the spooky Scandinavian wall set might be broken. I'd also like to know if it's normal for all of the beds to be just mattresses on the floor? Sorry for the super long message, I just want to make sure I did everything right. :D
Hii i think for the wallpaper its either a mising mesh, or did you switch up to directx11 and not updated your cc ?? If yes either do a batch cc fix or turn directx9 back on

Akhira, have you built a courthouse, or do you know of another builder who has created one that is available for download?
I placed the "courthouse" from the My Wedding Stories GP downtown. It's a rabbithole where your Sims can get married or use the restroom 🤎
