Saturday Devlog
Hey everyone! Baku here.
This week, I got pretty deep into cleaning up the game. Alongside that, I've been organizing the Discord server and working on the internal side of the project.
On the technical side — making sure saves work across versions and setting up auto-updates. For the UI — loading screens between locations, warning pop-ups, and some missing interface elements. We're also fixing tricky bugs (or at least trying to) that only happen every now and then.
I'm writing short descriptions for every quest to make things clearer, and adding hint pop-ups.
For the loading screens, I'm thinking of an animation with a frying pan and some food flipping in the air — feels like it fits the style. The warning messages will feature different heroines and will either change depending on the version or appear randomly. Down the line, I'd like to add a customizable menu — the look changes depending on which heroine you pick, and she'll even voice the button clicks.
I'm also working on adding Boosty and Patreon login to make version distribution easier. That way, we can keep a single version of the game and fix bugs for everyone at once, while you can just download and play up to whatever point is unlocked for you. Different subscription tiers could unlock extra features and maybe something cool 👀
As for art — I finished two CGs this week. Two more to go, but they're pretty big, so they'll take more time.
That's about it.
Plans for next week: finish what I didn't get to this week and run a full round of testing.
Have a great weekend, everyone, and thanks for reading our devlogs!
