A Note from BI+CO: Creator Burnout, Addressing Rumors & What’s Next

First off, we want to start with a huge thank you. Thanks to your amazing support, we were able to upgrade to stronger PCs, which has meant the absolute world to us and drastically improved how we work. Since quitting our 9-to-5 office jobs, we’ve been able to dedicate ourselves full-time to CC creation, something we love deeply and always wished we had the time for.
However, we wanted to be honest with you all about how we’ve been feeling lately. Between working non-stop on new sets and dealing with constant allegations of using AI in our work, we’ve been feeling burnt out and deeply frustrated.
Addressing the AI Allegations
We take immense pride in our work. Everything we create is done by us from scratch, countless hours of work going from rough 3D models to final swatches.
For those who have been with us, since we started back in 2023, you know our texturing style has always been the same, which is maxis match. What has changed is that we’ve grown, refined our skills, and optimized our workflow. Having faster PCs and flexible hours allows us to focus entirely on CC.
Our first ever cc set - Tet Collection - took us a whole 3 months to finish with 24 items, this is when we were still working full time office job and just start figuring out the cc process on our laptop, now our Shugeiya Collection took us only a month to create, with 30+ items.
Moreover, we’ve built automated stages in our process: like custom preset materials, details, photoshop filters, and swatches - which has streamlined everything, as soon as, the modeling is finished.
Having our hard work, expertise, and dedication reduced to "AI" through repeated DMs is deeply disheartening - especially when we share our WIPs and drafts on Patreon every week showing our exact process. Therefore, to clear the air once and for all; We do not use AI in any part of our CC creation.
A small Change in Our Release Schedule
We’ve realized that trying to ignore these comments, while maintaining an intense release pace, isn't sustainable for our wellbeing. To protect our mental health, we have decided to slow down our release schedule starting from next month - from our current schedule right now, which is splitting collections into smaller parts to releasing one larger, complete set per month. And, we will have more time to research and finding inspirations for each and every set.
However, our quality and content amount will NOT be compromised. Because, we’ve built such a efficient workflow and an extensive library of Maxis Match materials, we will continue delivering the same detailed, high-quality items - just with more breathing room for us. We'll also still explore making mods and CAS items from time to time!

At no point has your content ever given the appearance of AI. As many have said in the comments, the people flooding your DMs have to be trolls at this point. I know saying to just ignore them is easier said than done, but that's honestly what you all need to start doing.

i am someone that has been a fan of both of your works for a long time and seeing you guys grow and expand has been great! I understand people are wary of ai and just tired and paranoid because so many creators are wrecking games with it but i believe in getting proof first before accusations and with your guy's work its easy to open it up and take a look to see there's work there and not ai generated bullshit the care to your craft is evident even down to how you make sure your pieces aren't heavy unoptimized messes. so please. rest. do what you need to rest and keep a pace that makes you guys happy. you have been very open about your processes and i appreciate the love and care so much i will continue to cheer you guys on and will always be in your corner!
Reading this just makes our day so much better 😭 There is so much hidden work behind just the textures and polished posters; we always try to reduce model sizes and texture sizes as much as possible, not to mention all the brain work that goes into XML scripting... How in the world could AI even do that?? It would be so much easier to ignore the rude allegation DMs since our results will likely explain themselves, but the messages have still been coming from time to time ever since the start of 2026. We just had to make a post about it in hopes they won't bother us anymore. It’s so frustrating to make CC while constantly having to worry about these negativity. As an artist myself, I never once thought your creations were AI-generated. It is all very clearly human-made art. I understand, though, that not everyone is good at spotting AI, but I also think that making such accusations without any shred of evidence is cruel to the creator/creators. None of your posts look AI-generated whatsoever; nothing about them points to that. I think it's infuriating how people are accusing artists all willy-nilly of using AI just because they're uneducated about how it actually works and what it actually looks like. Please, continue creating as long as you think it's fun and take care of yourselves. <3
This means more to us than we can say! Coming from a fellow artist, hearing this brings us such a huge comfort. We’ve spent years studying and working in the creative field before AI, and we pour everything we’ve learned into refining our cc every day. The current climate is definitely scary and receiving those unfair accusations really hurts, we're so deeply grateful for your kindness and support!
I have few things to say. I will start with, notice that objects now have less MB and I find it great and I would like you to continue in that direction. Love the colections , dedication and themes. Your stuff have made so much progress in good way in all these years . Also would like to praise you for making some unique attachments to bb objects, like functional cookies round box, or that bread keep wood box and love to see more. Thing I do not like and would like you consider : is making bigger set than your usual way of publishing colections, I fully understand that u need a lot of time to make stuff but this sets with few fantastic objects are good refresh for your dedicated community. That also means that we will wait even more longer for your new stuff. I understand pressure and haters are everywhere and I would not be surprised that behind all of that AI allegations are some other jealous creator. (community know very well which creators are using AI, bcs it is so obvious and screaming money grabbing and greed). Please consider asking community or your paid followers of opinion in big decisions like this (you DO NOT own that to community but it would be nice), you could make poll so people can be asked or gave opinion . I am sorry if I sound too much suggestive or unpolite (giving my best using English language ). Sending support and compliments <3
We’re so grateful to see you noticing our progress over the years! You make a very valid point, and we’ll definitely take it into consideration. Truthfully, we wrote this post after receiving another AI allegation DM, emotions were running so high, and we were just furious at how unfair it is to have people insult our "digital babies." It's been a bit of a turbulent period for us, but we'll discuss your suggestion and set up some polls soon regarding set sizes and themes. I think especially seeing how your work developed through the years shows VERY clearly you're not using AI (thankfully, I really hate it. And I hate the common mistrust it created!) I also LOVE your work very, very much, it has a wonderful style and top notch quality! It enriches the Sims experience a lot in making it so much more realistic, THANK YOU sincerely for sharing with us all!

Never even thought your creations would be AI. I am so sorry you have to deal with this. There is real creativity in your work, and there is unfortunately a lot of misunderstanding of what AI can produce. And it may well be that people do not trust anything anymore, and suspect AI in everything - a very human thing to do, imo. one of the things about your work that i love is I can tell how much hard work and effort you've personally poured into it. as an author, I know how disheartening it is to be accused of using AI when you've put heart and soul into making something you're excited to share with everyone. please know that your work is appreciated by those with eyes to see! take care of yourselves 💗I will be looking forward to your releases no matter how slow the schedule

Thank you so much! Honestly, there are so many things AI just can't do compared to a creator. It might help with basic research or finding info, but the heavy lifting of modeling, texturing, and getting everything game-ready for TS4 is completely unreplaceable. We put so much time and effort into every piece, so having supporters who appreciate what we do means everything! 😭❤️
at this point I'm starting to think people will just regularly go around make bogus AI claims just to get attention and cause problems. you guys make amazing stuff! please take all the time you need to recover or prevent burn out!
