WIP: Dining & Dot
It’s been a little bit since our Áo Dài release! To be totally honest, we had to take a longgg break right after to recover from all that weight-painting and rigging stress 😅 But we are back again, and so excited to share what we’re building next! Thank you guys so much for sticking around, being here, and having so much patience with us.
This set is all about creating a super cozy, lived-in dining nook for your Sims! We’re leaning heavily into playful patterns this time, lots of retro polka dots, gingham accents, and mismatched drawer textures to make the space feel eclectic and warm 🥣
For everyone who’s been following us since the beginning (and to all our new friends!), we wanted to share a little peek into our process!
If you look at the breakdown image above, you can see how an object evolves in our 3d modelling programs (Blender/Maya):
High Poly: We model every tiny bevel and detail first.
Low Poly + Bake: We bake all those high-poly details onto a clean, optimized low-poly mesh.
Texture: Adding hand-painted details, wood grains, and color maps! (Texturing is a whole complex process in itself, we’ll share more on that later to keep this post short!).
Pay close attention to those triangle counts! We always aim for the lowest number of tris possible without losing visual detail. The lower the poly count, the smoother the item runs in your game, requiring way less processing power from your PC or laptop!

soo cute!!! i love the little umbrella hanging on the chair, and the detail on the latte art is so cool!!
Thank you so much!! We're so happy you noticed those little details! The latte art and umbrella were super fun to work on!
Also sorry in advance if I get annoying or overwhelming, I’m autistic and when I get excited about things I can’t stop thinking about it until it finally comes to fruition and I can finally have or use it
Aww, please never apologize! You’re not annoying or overwhelming at all, we totally love seeing your excitement!! ❤️ If you ever want to chat more, ask questions, or share your ideas, feel free to send us a DM here on Patreon anytime! Our inbox is always open for you!
Omgggggg these are everything!!!! Are the cups of coffee/tea separate so i can have them in cafes and such?
Yess, the drinks are completely separate clutter objects so you can place them wherever you want ☕️✨
I have a question related to potential CAS items you might do next? If it’s ok to ask you?
I hope y’all are well!
I can’t wait for you guys to do more traditional CAS items from different cultures including your own Vietnamese culture! Also welcome back!
