WIP: Midnight Recharge
We are back at it with a new WIP! For this set, we wanted to create something inspired by convenience stores, featuring popular Japanese specials like bento boxes and instant ramen for that late night gaming recharge session.
But there’s more than meets the eye. For this set we've decided to dive into the food mod business!! We have been learning and testing non-stop to make these items fully edible, since so many of you have been asking about it.
It’s a completely different process compared to Buy/Build items. It involves extra modeling, texturing, and a whole lot of XML scripting (omg!). We are only 3D modellers, but we had to go full "dev mode" to figure out these scripts and inject our lines of code to make them appear in-game.
For every single food item, we have to model three states: the full meal, the partial state as the Sim eats, and the final empty plate.
But at long last, we are finally bringing this to reality! All that testing was worth it. The food is finally edible, and we even made a fully functional grocery bag that holds our CC food so your Sims can grab a snack on the go. We still have some final tuning before actually releasing the set, but it is looking POSITIVE!!
Side note: We couldn’t have made it this far without your support—so thank you guys so much! ❤️
