Stop killing games
Hello everyone.
I hope that you are all healthy and happy.
This time I have a post about something non-related to my games but to games in general. I don't know did you heard about it but, if you live in EU I recommend you to check this out. There is initiative that is going on to give consumers right to actually OWN the game they buy and not let companies to just shut down game as they wish and that way make your purchase to thin air. This initiative is called stop killing games. I personally agree that there should be a law to force developers of game (including me even I am just one small indie dev) to have "end of service" plan for they games. If they (developers) decide to shut it down does not mean they can steal it away from you who should have all rights to play the game you purchased any time you want to play it. I compare this to Monopoly, Risk and similar games you can buy... Now imagine company who sold it to you say: Hey you can no longer play it cause we ended support for these games! So, I signed the petition cause I agree that this is right call to make at least some rules so game developers can't screw you up as they want. Please consider signing this petiton and of course read it first and sign if you agree with it. If you can also share the link for petition to anyone you can. Remember this is only for EU citizens. Hopefully this will make some difference and make things better for gamers/consumers.
Link for the petition is here: https://www.stopkillinggames.com/
Thank you all in advance.

Signed it last year. Sadly it's unlikely to pass. Most people have completely checked out.
I'd love to sign! My country isn't fully part of the EU so I can't sign. But I hope it passes!
