Chapter 866 - Fragment of Starless Sky
There are way too many people here for me to even try spending the mental effort to take note of them all. Plus, Adrian’s words still weigh heavily on my mind. He said it all so simply, yet this is something I am sure he is entirely capable of doing.
Project Sundial… I know of it only because of my own curiosity, but wasn't that a doomsday plan some crazy guy concocted during the Cold War? A plan to bury hydrogen bombs underground, and in case it seemed like America was going to lose, they would just blow them up and theoretically destroy all life on Earth? A last, spiteful declaration that if we are not alive anymore, you won't be alive much longer to enjoy your victory either.
So I watch Adrian as he chatters away over there, so easygoing. He must know my emotions. He must know that such a warning bears little effect on me, yet he said it anyway. Just to make fun of me, or to annoy me. He doesn't even bother trying to pretend in front of me anymore, or to play the part of Earth’s savior.
Does it feel like a relief for him to show this side to someone? Or does he not care for words much, continuing to believe that his actions will show his true intentions by themselves, something I strongly agree with? Is it all just his way of making fun of the younger generation, mixed with a hint of truth?
And could I fight and defeat him right now if I actually went for it?
Taking a deep breath, I quickly calm myself down and bring my mana back under control.
“Mind if I have a word with you?” a soft voice sounds by my side. I turn toward it to face Felix Maro. A disciple of the Ruler of Temperance, and someone who also started his journey in Beyond two thousand years ago. He is a lumoran, with half of his body being pitch black as his race usually is, while the other half is covered in pale blue crystals. They look more like vitiligo rather than actual crystals growing out of him, resembling that condition where you have patches of a different skin color on your body.
“I don't mind,” I say.
He smiles gently and gestures for me to follow him as he begins to walk. With incredible ease, he forms a barrier around us, the kind meant to prevent anyone from listening in on our conversation.
“I have spoken with my master, and if needed, he will manifest through me,” he says simply, as if it were trivial. “The Ruler of Temperance will protect the planet, and my master, if necessary, will forcefully end your Beyond quest to send you back.”
“You won't stop being mysterious and just straight up tell me everything?”
“I apologize,” he says, and his expression actually looks like he means it. “We are not supposed to interfere too much with the participants. Everyone here will wait until one of you gains the Fragment of Starless Sky and makes a decision as to what to do with it.”
“There is only one person I can think of whom you guys would be scared of so much that you wouldn't break some informal rule he set,” I say.
Felix Maro smiles slightly. “Just be careful and keep an eye on your sister. I think she has made a deal with another dangerous person.”
The disciple of the Ruler of Temperance then bows to me slightly and walks away to join Yvaine in conversation before heading to other participants.
Meanwhile, I move around the room. I give myself a few moments to observe Euris, the bear man, and the thylarin array specialist, noticing that they are also talking to people.
Envy, Yvaine, and Felix Maro seem to represent the three main factions, each with a different goal that ultimately relies heavily on whoever wins and gets their hands on a fragment.
I am sure Vic has a plan too, and watching her, I find it odd not knowing what it is. I know she cannot tell me right now without someone spying, and I don't need her to tell me anyway, as I trust her completely. Yet, it is a reminder that she has also been going through the tutorial, meeting people, and planning things out on her own. There are a few things I think she would probably focus on, so I spend some time thinking about them as well.
I grab a few snacks and spend an hour getting into a conversation with a friendly vyssari who introduces himself as Prince Kip’s uncle. He laughs and tells me he has been donating to us, explaining that there were apparently efforts by others to place negative effects on me and Vic, but there was also an option to bid higher to ensure those effects did not apply.
We then somehow get into an argument over which mana attribute is truly the best. He strongly defends Potency, while I fight for my beloved Amplification.
Soon, it even comes down to exchanging insults as we put down each other’s opinions, but none of it feels ill-spirited. He seems to be having a lot of fun in our conversation, too.
After a few drinks, I get him to show me a photo of Prince Kip from when he was a baby vyssari, and indeed, every young vyssari is reminiscent of how Zant looks. It is as if whatever Ruler created the vyssari race by imbuing them with wyvern blood, intending to create mighty warriors, instead made a genetically superior race when it comes to the cuteness of their young.
During this entire thing, Melek continues to do his job, though more and more half-heartedly. He is still smiling and charming, but he continues to drink and is much less patient, not minding if he insults people or acts cruelly, as if his real personality is coming to the surface.
And when the time for the last game finally comes, he climbs onto the platform and bows deeply toward us all.
“Thank you all for participating in this shitshow sponsored by… well, fuck them too,” he smiles brightly and takes a deep breath. “It is indeed an amazing feeling to have something I gave so much of my life to turn into this sort of mess... this trash.”
He looks at his palms and closes his hands into fists before opening them again. “I hope our precious spectators don't mind my lapse in professionalism, and if you do…” Melek looks over at Envy, Felix Maro, and even the vessels present, and smirks, “Well, fuck you too in particular.”
As he slaps his palms together, the lights flare up behind him, creating beams that reach the sky as dawn draws closer and closer. There are small particles of sand floating in the air that glitter beautifully, making them look like stars in the night sky.
“Why don't we start then?” Melek says, pointing toward the pillar miles away in the distance. “I had a beautiful game planned, but why bother? Let's make it simpler, more brutal, more enjoyable to watch, shall we? The objective is simple: go and rush the fragment. Kill everyone in your way to get to it, or give up and run away.”
The selari Melek starts unbuttoning his shirt. Then, taking off his jacket, he throws it away, pulling the shirt down as well to reveal a muscular and heavily scarred body.
“I went over the rules, and a part of them allows me to make such a change, and I believe that person wouldn't mind it either. After all, the fragment must be deserved. And hey, if I get to mess up the plans of some of you assholes, why not? Go against that person's direct order and try to take the fragment before the Game ends. But I bet you won't.”
Like heat over a flame, mana starts rising up around the face of the game. It coils around him, washes over him, and pulses in waves. The amount of it continues to grow as he ramps it up, letting his mana heart go wild.
It is a disgusting amount of mana from a man who, as I have learned, refused to become a Champion because of how much he enjoyed stomping weaker people into the dirt without being overwhelmingly more powerful than them.
The face of the game for two hundred years already, and someone who himself won the Game that long ago.
“This is the most live viewers The Games have ever had, by more than double. There are even some individuals pirate-streaming it outside, so why don't we give them something fun to watch? To get to your prize, you will have to kill me. You will start in ten seconds.”
After that, Melek jumps high into the air, and by releasing a huge amount of mana like a booster, he pushes himself toward the pillar in the distance at high speed, remaining floating in the air near it.
The countdown starts, a count that everyone keeps in their head.
Most of the spectators at this point clear the scene, leaving just a few people behind. Some of the remaining ones lift high into the air, and the tension increases. The sides that seemed somewhat neutral now eye each other, looking as if they might start fighting at any moment.
The bear man, Euris, and the thylarin array woman get ready, as well as the remaining two dozen participants who hadn't run away.
And me and Vic are here as well.
Though I am breathing calmly, I feel my heart begin to race, and my focus sharpen. There is that tingle at the tips of my fingers and a feeling like cold water enveloping me, the kind that almost forces your body to shake, not out of fear, but out of a desire to take action.
The countdown continues, and at the last second, someone shoves a table nearby. In the silence, the glass shattering on the floor sounds like a gunshot.
The entire podium explodes under the telekinesis of the bear man, and two of the participants who are unable to press back against his skill get compressed into a ball made of flesh and bones. The bear man swings his arm, further destroying the podium and throwing other people away.
Before he can do more, Euris emerges from the shadow nearby and takes a calm step toward the bear, who notices him and releases everything against the man covered in shadow. All of it fails to do anything, almost as if it slid against his surface, and he uses more attacks in quick succession.
Disruption, projectiles, attempts to teleport, but all fail to do anything, and the bear man slides into a body strengthening that shatters the area around him with how powerful it is. Yet even then, he fails to keep up with Euris, who stabs his dagger through the bottom of the bear's chin and toward the top of his head, killing him on the spot.
In the next moment, Victoria crashes against him, and he swings his red dagger to defend himself.
Meanwhile, with a boost that shatters what remains of the podium, I launch myself into the air at high speed toward Melek.
I spin in the air to avoid the projectiles tracking me and disrupt them with a single powerful pulse. There is that thylarin woman building an array, but I focus on it with my eyes, taking it over and weaving my own over it as I continue to expand it. She attempts a few times to take it back, but I track her location, ignore the multiple illusory versions of her that she has placed, and find her real body.
Through her remaining connection to the array, I send one of my orbs, and the area explodes into a huge ball full of thermal energy that burns a few participants nearby.
[You have defeated Ephemeral Contraptionist - lvl 446]
I don't even bother forming a lance, instead, I use my usual super-dense mana javelins, each of them heavier than me and boosted by kinetic energy. I don't hold back at all as they shoot out at supersonic speed, one after another, cracking and breaking barriers to catch up to the speedier participants.
A few explosions crash against the barrier I raise. Someone gathers a large-scale attack, but I just throw more mana at it, making my barrier cut off all sound to the outside while the attacks merely ripple across its surface.
Floating there in the air, I use my eyes to track each and every one of them, bombarding them with similar attacks to the ones they throw at me, just with vastly more mana put into them.
The longer I fight, the more I let it go wild, channeling it into my skills and turning the desert area into a landscape full of craters. Primordial lightning barely wobbles my barrier. Nearly all mana attacks get disrupted or turned against their owners, and my projectiles don't stop raining down as I refuse to let anyone near the fragment.
At one point, the remaining participants join forces against me. There are five of them, all Absolute candidates. They shoot attacks at the exact same spot and try synchronized disruption attempts, but it is all for nothing.
I already targeted the participants with primordial energies first. Now, all who remain are the ones using mana-based attacks, powerful as they may be.
I let them feel my frustration from having to hold back and endure this shitty game. I don't move a single inch from the spot, getting rid of them one after another, taking over their attacks, breaking their barriers, and rendering all their mana completely useless in front of me.
And when they are gone, I float there in the air, pulling all the mana particles in the area toward me and feeding them into my spinning mana crown.
With a boost of kinetic energy, I launch myself like a rocket toward Melek, who is floating in the air. My barrier is gone now, as I pull it all close over my skin to create a constantly shifting defensive layer.
The face of The Games smiles, spreading the arms of his scarred body wide as his mana radiates outward with incredible pressure. In quick succession, three attacks slam against me, each of them powerful enough to erase a city, and each of them lighting up the dawning desert.
But I don't even try to disrupt them, I just let them hit me. I also block his projectiles and fight against the pressure, attempting to disrupt my own mana. Just like him, I let my mana rush out as I face an Amplificator, someone like me who has a huge amount of it and relies on bombardments.
My mana is like a torrential wave, while his is like a firestorm. They become visible as they meet in the air.
But where he is reaching his maximum output, I continue to dish out more. Where he begins to have trouble channeling it all, I am only getting started, and my mana sweeps his away, suffocating his pressure as I reach him.
Instead of continuing to fight me this way, he coats his body in a defensive barriers and uses a powerful reinforcement.
I match him by reinforcing my body and weaving mana together with kinetic energy. I duck under his attack, then, despite the sheer amount of information my mind currently handles, I use my eyes to read the frequency of his barrier, and my own resonates to match it perfectly.
My fist hits his face, and he staggers back. Boosting myself ahead, I catch a punch he throws at me, punch his face again, and then, after a burst of speed, I do it a third time.
Melek staggers back, releasing his mana in a pressure wave that blows away tons of sand and cuts into my barrier, but I step through it. I strengthen my body further, punching him multiple times. He sways and plants his feet, letting out a battle scream as he charges at me.
After letting one of his hits land against my barrier, uselessly rippling it, I punch back again. His jawbone tears away from the force of the punch as he staggers and falls to the ground, trying to keep himself conscious. Even now, he is chuckling and pressing himself to stand up. Not for a moment does his mana stop moving, still trying to attack me as it rages around us.
Looking down at my bloodied fists, I say, "I’m sorry, I thought you would be stronger."
A glow of mana appears on the tip of his finger as if he wants to write something, but then he just stops, holding his finger there. Instead, he turns to the camera drone in the distance and bows.
Then he explodes, releasing all the mana he had been gathering for who knows how long in a fraction of a second. It is an explosion destined to spread for miles and miles across the area.
I grab it all, usurping all that mana and pressing it into a compact space. It vibrates and fights to be released, but I keep pressing and pulling it toward me. I move my hands together with my palms facing each other, and between them, I hold all of that mana in the stable form of a tricolored orb.
Then I break it apart, pulling it into the whirlpool that is the crown over my head, and boost myself toward the pillar where the Fragment of Starless Sky rests. There is no one else left to fight me for it. Even the remaining spectators move closer, some on the ground, others floating nearby.
Stopping there, I don't reach out to touch it, choosing to wait instead.
“Take it. Give the fragment to me, Nathaniel,” Yvaine says, and just from her speech, I know it’s Ruby talking through her.
She moves closer, but even she refuses to grab the fragment.
The sound of soft steps echoes on the sand as Victoria makes her way toward me, holding the glowing red dagger Euris used to own. She taps my shoulder and gives it a soft squeeze that means more to me than a minute-long hug from anyone else.
“Nathaniel!” Ruby calls to me.
I look her in the eyes, and whatever is in mine instantly silences her.
Victoria then places her hand on the fragment and takes it, but she doesn't take it for herself.
My sister stabs her hand into the middle of her chest and pulls out a small, tiny orb that gives off no energy signature at all. All of the figures remaining here move closer, but they wait for the victor's decision as Victoria squeezes the orb and throws it to the ground.
In the next moment, a tear appears in space, and two figures step out from it.
A replica of the Last Elf, smiling brightly as he spots everyone and moves his red hair out of his face. The other figure is entirely covered in a cloak.
"As per our deal," Victoria says.
"As per our deal," the elf confirms, nonchalantly taking the fragment from her.
His body then moves as quickly as a striking snake as he stabs his hand through the chest of the cloaked figure, burying the fragment into its torso.
The figure's cloak falls away, revealing an old man, and all my attention is pulled to the blood flowing from his chest. Then there are the dozens of Fragments of Starless Sky imbued all over his body alongside dense inscriptions, and blood flowing from fresh wounds around the fragments. And that blood is Empyrean Ichor, incomparably purer than mine.
At that moment, the Last Elf declares, "By the power of the Empyrean bloodline bound within this system-defying vessel, with every shattered fragment finally unified in one frame, and through the culmination of millennia of labor, I awaken he who once stood among the mightiest."
The dawning sky turns a shade darker, as if the stars are being drained of their radiance.
"Awaken, Godking. Awaken Starless Sky."

Yes! MOAR twists! TFTC
Man this is so good
Why should Vic help the Elf? Sure she could get sometjing out of it...or and its a big or. She is nats sister. She is pissed at the system and like Nat petty and would totally do it to spite them all...I think
Nathaniel compressed a fellow amplifier’s entire mana pool into a stable tricolored orb (how the fuck is not black mana) and that’s not even top 3 moments in this chapter
First fuck yeah, definitely always dishing out epic battles that I wish were animated by studio madhouse or trigger. Second wtf, can't wait 😆 the next two hrs at work.
I just had an idea about what the deal could be. She could hire the last elf to attack the opposing world that paired with Earth. Killing the champions there would improve their chances of victory.
I think it's more about her duplication, the last elf have probably hundreds of not thousands if not tens of duplicates all independent from eachother ( as we know from the beyond quest ) Victoria only shares one mind between all her duplicants, learning how to separate her mind will allow her to be so much more powerful
It’s weird to read a creative “real” author in this genre, all the other hacks have been exposed and rendered boring including Mr. Jake Juicy
What a banger of a chapter
I fear the day I ready the last chapter of this book and the emptiness consums me once more. To know a masterwork is/was created and few will ever reach such heights again. I dread that day. Love the chapter XD
Oh baby what a chapter on a sunday, god bless
Need to add a Melek death notification
Or was that deliberate? 🤔
HOORAY! MELEK IS DEAD AS PREDICTED, BUT I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MELEK DIES, OH BOY
Never got kill experience though, which even with him blowing himself up I think Nat would get something
I feel like Pride will come and 0 difficulty the Godking for shits and giggles
Tyftc
We defo need a Victoria flashback /POV one of these days…. She is such an intriguing character.
So... I feel like the Elfie built this vessel himself or close to it. He just wanted to build something strong enough to hold a GodFrame in one single vessel, so he used the purest Empyrean blood he could find (maybe the Thaumaturge corpse?, or he cloned a bunch of his blood?) Pretty sure the Black mana god who made the Empyreans wasn't on friendly terms with most Godkings. Though it does make me wonder if that means this vessel has a divine heart, and if that would make this resurrected dude stronger than he used to be.
Well can't wait to see Lissy show up and somehow kill this guy to make herself into a god
I was hoping for more chapters on the fight, it was a little bit of a letdown how easy it was for Nat and Victoria to curbstomp the competition and Melek. Nat was even thinking about trying to take on Adrian, I think narratively he needs to get his ass kicked to remind us how far he has to go
Nah. I think it was more to show how much he was genuinely hold back during the games. If he and Vic had wanted to, they could have stomped everyone in the first round and won it all. This is also the first time he has fought since he recovered after Lisandra's training.
"They look more like vitiligo rather than actual crystals growing out of him, resembling that condition where you have patches of a different skin color on your body." I know its not what he means, but I have to say it: they're called freckles Nat! 😜
How hilarious would it be if this godking guy just coughs and falls over dead. The revival attempt failed 😂
Plot twist of the century. I cant wait to see where this goes!!! Tftc🔥🔥
This all feels likes it’s coming out of nowhere. Like oh ok the face of the games is a previous winner and on par with champions. Oh now he’s dead. Oh he had a lot of mana, sure I guess. Now all the participants are dead. What happened to the strong guys mentioned and foreshadowed in early rounds? Oh they weren’t even mentioned here. ok I guess gods can be revived now and I guess the last elf is now involved and now there’s a god and a bunch of rulers. Sure. It feels like you jumped to the climax without any real rising action or setup. Like, seriously, where is all this stuff coming from? Is it just me? Like I’m finding it hard to be properly excited about this stuff.
I agree it seems super sudden. I'm fine with not mentioning gods being able to be revived and vic making a deal with the elf being a reveal for this chapter but why didn't we know about that guy being almost champion level earlier and I think nat talked up the participants too much or maybe he underestimated himself since he just got major power increase maybe they were dangerous to the old him before time dilated training
Welp I don’t see an obvious reason why Vic would do that, but I guess I’ll find out next time on Dragonball Z
We know that Pride likes to reflect and assume their opponent's stats, skills, passives etc when fighting, but can it reflect system-unrelated abilities as well? Would it fail against an empyrean or a God?
Great chapter, thanks !
I fucking love this. They've been explaining a bunch of niche stuff for world building and to show Kindness's predicament and then suddenly that niche information becomes a prominent plot point that leads to our first god encounter. The world building for this is fucking amazing.
What a wonderful way to start my Sunday. Another beautifully crafted battle sequence that I wish other authors would take notes of for its simplicity and entertaining build up.
I think the goal was for Nat to get the fragment, seeing that it was the last fragment the Elf needed whoever got the fragment would be hunted down for it. It was a trap for whoever got it to be hunted down by the last elf, but Vic didn't let that happen and bypassed all that. If Vic has some arrangement with the Elf Nat wont attack or fight them because he trust Vic and will let her do as she pleases. This will end with either Nat and Vic going back to beyond, Nat going back and Vic going with the Elf, or both going with the Elf for training or some other purpose.
Interesting. The last elf seems to have always been collecting fragments. Is that his main goal? To collect all fragments and revive the gods for another system war? They keep saying modern champions and absolutes are weak
Horry sheet
I’m curious about why ruby wanted nat to give her the fragment so badly, and the other motivations of the 3 factions nat was talking about. So she would have a better chance vs pride for the quest? Or did they all know about the elf? Is this guy the progenitor of black mana, or are empyrean and black mana god separate? I forget… but now I assume the last elf and pride are somewhat allied in that they are anti system? Both have kill quests iirc
OOOH SHIT, DIDNT EXPECT THAT. Also what is vics reward here?
Thank you!
Starless Sky probably uses entropy powers. Entropy is what will eventually eliminate the stars in the universe after all.
What a banger of a chapter!
Nathaniel is probably thinking "my sister is cool as fuck"
🤣
Is it the system that’s at war with the last elf or the rulers? Either way this seems like a miscalculation by Vic I feel like either the system could label her an enemy or one of the rulers would want revenge.
Yes, I agree. It may feel that way right now, but we still don't know enough about the situation. How did the deal come about? How was she able to contact Elvi? And so on. There are many more questions that need to be answered.
Thank goodness. I thought Vic would help Adrian for some extra drama.
This week is going to be a crazy one! Thanks!
TFTC. I can,t wait to see where this goes.
Holy shit what just happened. I am going to have to read that again when I'm more awake. Too much craziness going on!
"refused to become a Champion because of how much he enjoyed stomping weaker people into the dirt without being overwhelmingly more powerful than them." -> whats one got to do with the other? Can champions not beat up people weaker than them? Isnt like, everyone everywhere afraid of the next rung up the ladder cuz they're stronger?
" without being overwhelmingly more powerful than them " If he was a champion, the second stage of mana amplification would make all fight way too easy for his taste.
Such a shitty little chappy. Cant wait to read more of it because im hella not satisfied and cant even have a single little guessing about what will happen + plus i didnt like the fact that ruby said "give it to *me*" like it makes her sound so negative. Like yeah she is the ruler of greed but erhh idk something doesnt sound right for me Anyways thanks for the chappie ! <3 loved reading it as always
Before Nat leaves for beyond and to knock the last elf down he needs to say this resurrection is sponsored by lord diligence
Oh god. I hope this happens. Like straight into the camera him saying why would lord diligence revive an enemy of the system or something like that.
3 chapters ago I said a lot of people were overestimating Nat's strength and he wasn't champion lvl yet. I think Nat may have heard my disrespect 😂
Ansolute canidstes? More like omelette canidates.
Superthaniel is super fun.
Given that Nat already beat one Last Elf and he was so much weaker then than he is now it's incomparable, I'd say it's a bad match up for elfie even with his pseudo god in attendance, which wrath will promptly deal with. I'm sorry Melek, your best wasn't good enough.
Back then, the Last Elf copy Nat defeated was only level 100, while Nathaniel was already level 300+. Why are you assuming that the Last Elf copy in this chapter is going to be low level as well? His level could easily be in the 500-600 range. Plus, The only reason Nat was able to beat that copy is that, unlike Lissandra, the Last Elf's copies don't have access to all of the original body's memories. As the copies level up, they gain access to more memories, which is why Nat was able to defeat him
I was smelling some system-rebellion before, but now we finally see it
Epic chapter. 🤯😳👍🙂
So whos this god king? And is he strong enough to deal with pride? Also Nat was incredibly impressive during this. When is his class upgrade due?
He is an empyrean, and pride already killed the most powerful empyrean ever. So not enough to deal with pride. Perhaps strong enough to disrupt the power hierarchy below pride
There’s soooo much stuff the Elf could do for Nat and Vic. Foil Adrian’s doomsday device, help Nat with his body fixes, help Vic with Duplication. Between the whole dropping the last fragment needed to resurrect a god, talking to Lissandra in the beyond, and getting a quest issued to challenge him Pride is starting to feel like a huge shit stirrer lol. And now it looks like Nat gets a front row seat to a real big boy fight.
I hope Lily's disciple Pallius and Sophie's disciple Deva are among those watching the Game :D I want them to witness all of this
OMG, yes! That would be amazing!
Holy c-bombs this is PEAK! TFTC!
What's left for Nate in the tutorial? He has ~19 months left. Sure he'll fight Nyssa and MorMor but at his current strength I can only see the deeper beyond floors being a challenge. Will he be strong enough to defeat Adrian by the end of it. Is project sundial all the towers he made around Earth in case he dies? Think Nate can control all the mana from those explosions? Hopefully their mana and not primal or natural... What primal energy did Adrian have again?
Every floor has had champion+ enemies present, they're just normally considered outside the expected playthrough. That's why the rulers didn't want Adrian starting Hell mode at floor 1 when he used his difficulty change token. So Nat could take advantage of that, which is something Adrian couldn't.
Ruby said that this whole shit is somebody taking advantage of opportunity created by Motivationsandra, but I think its the other way around. Making a shitstorm elsewhere to increase her chances of escape. This chappy confirms Pride is behind the fragment. Who else would Ruby be afraid to offend? I don't know what Pride wanted to do. I'm inclined to say he didn't know about the Last Elf's plans but he did get that eradication quest issued against him.
I imagine Pride wanted Starless Sky to be revived since he was one of the strongest beings of the past
Welp... the fallout from this is probably going to be significant
I wonder how much of this is what Pride wants to happen. If he's going against the system, then having another system defying entity inflict chaos is surely beneficial to him.
Incredible!!!
Pride obviously organized this becuase he was bored, but honestly im more curious what the last elf offered vic becuase im almost positive it wasnt personal gain, it has to be something to help Nathaniel im sure but what ?
He's the dude to get advice from on her Duplication. But yeah that's probably what made him reach out but not what Vic got from this deal.
I read the first book in this series on Kindle, and totally expected the same slop being pumped out by 99 percent of the authors out there. I was pleasantly surprised and devoured the ones on Kindle. This is the first and only content I have ever sponsored on Patreon, and it is well worth it. Such a fun ride.
Yeah, Cerim was my first Patreon sponsor too. Very much worth it
So Vic has a plan (probably centered around helping Nat somehow), Ruby got a taste of Madthaniel after she messed with him too much by sending him to that show (plus he trusts Vic more), the Mana Daddy made a reappearance and showed everyone who their daddy is, Handsthaniel made his first appearance and literally knocked Malek’s jaw off, then Aurathaniel took his kamikaze and crowned himself with it. Lastly we have, what I assume to be, an Empyrean Godking reborn. All of this in one chapter and it’s only Sunday. 🫡 I salute you Cerim.
That's not the Empyrean Godking. Fragments are made from shattered Elysium Frames and EG was born without one so there are no fragments of his (instead he had a Divine Heart). There's this theory that his identity is dispersed throughout all of mana so concentrating enough of it breaks through some barrier and manifests part of EG (the black mana). That's why Nat calls black mana playing with fragments of god's corpse. Why vessel having pure Empyrean Bloodline was important, I don't know.
Thank you
"I’m sorry, I thought you would be stronger." See? 67 would've totally been enough. "Awaken, Godking. Awaken Starless Sky." Pride: "Now this looks like a job for me"
The brainrot is strong in this one
OH HELL YEAH
idk what the general thoughts regarding Vic are, but to me, she's creepy AF.
Well she’s literally a sociopath. Outside herself and Nat literally nothing matters
The more I see of Adrian, the more pathetic he seems to me. Riddling earth’s surface with h-bombs ? Is he really that insecure ?
Like I was saying from the beginning. It was obvious. He's a little bitch.
Damn.
Peak
"I’m sorry, I thought you would be stronger." Absolutely savage.
Holy shit.
Wow Vic?!
Oh shit! 🤯
TYFTC
Nat tore through these guys like paper…. There is no way he is not champion level at this time
And all that WITHOUT black OR empyrean mana.
What a twist… Would starless sky be the black mana originator?
nah, 'black mana' is the fragment of the mana god so this is a different guy, unless gods can give different types of fragments and i just forgor
Hmmm
Well sounds like things have gone off the rails for the rulers wonder if there going to send in lord wrath to clean this mess up….. Or make it worse…
Reminds of a scene from Invader Zim where Zim destroys the invaders training ground and one of the Tallest says "you made the fires worse!" And Zims reply was "Worse?! Or better?!" Anyway, Invader Zim shouldn't have been marketed as a kids show, way ahead of its time.
TFTC!!!
Oh snap! System War 2: Electric Boogaloo
So the shit show begins pride must be bored not having anyone to fight needing to help resurrect a god to play with
If that was his plan why this whole play with the games? He could've just given it to the god.
HOLY PEAK
