Night Visitor - V 2.1.4
π Night Visitor β PREGNANCIES, THERAPY AND VICTIM MARKS
A night no longer ends when the NV leaves. Now he can leave something behind that lasts for weeks β and, for the first time, the victim has a way out of all this.
π€° Pregnancies that come from an attack
When a victim gets pregnant from an attack, the mod swaps the game's pregnancy moodlet for one of its own. 87 new moodlets in total.
All three trimesters change. Each one has its own emotion and text, and the timer tells you which stage she's in and how long until the next one.
They're written in first person, as if she were thinking it: "What? That stranger from the other night finished inside me, and now I'm carrying their child?"
They change with her victim phase. The same sim goes from fear and anger to resignation, and if she's already given in, to looking forward to it: "It shows now. I hope they see me like this and know they're the one who left me this way."
It works the other way around too. If the NV is a woman and gets pregnant by her victim, she has her own set β a hunter who took more than she came for β and the male victim has his own, depending on how far gone he is.
When she finds out, the pregnancy starts from the beginning, belly and all, instead of jumping to the middle.
π©Έ If the father is family, the moodlets are different: one set for close blood (brother, parent, child) and another for distant relatives (uncle, cousin). What weighs on her isn't the same in each: with close blood it's the secret, with distant family it's the next reunion. For the game to recognise the father, both sims need WickedWhims' "Incestuous" trait enabled.
π Therapy and rehab
New on any sim's phone: "Professional help".
Victim therapy. 5 sessions of 90 minutes, one per day, 150 simoleons each. When the treatment is done the victim trait is gone and she's left confident for 3 days.
Maternal support centre. One 120-minute session, 250 simoleons. She stops carrying the pregnancy as trauma and goes back to the game's normal moodlet.
Rehab centre. The NV checks in for 2 full days for 500 simoleons. He comes back without the trait⦠and only loses the skill if he goes 3 days without attacking anyone. Relapse and he's right back to what he was.
The sim actually leaves the lot for the session β no more standing on the sidewalk.
π― Victim marks
Two new marks you can put on any sim:
Favourite victim. That NV picks her over anyone else, stalks her on his own, and no other NV touches her.
Protected. Nobody ever attacks them. For the sims you want kept out of all this.
Both show up in their own panel and survive between sessions.
π₯ Send her a NV
New option on any sim you're not playing: send a NV her way tonight, or a double attack. Your active sim doesn't have to be the NV.
π Family ties and same gender
28 more moodlets for the moment of the attack: one for each kind of relative (brother, parent, child, uncle, nephew, cousin) and another for when both are the same gender, with a version for the NV and a version for the victim depending on her phase.
π€ The NV stays an acquaintance
After a visit, the NV shows up in the victim's relationship list β with no friendship and no enmity, flat at zero. She knows who he is, but the numbers don't move. On double attacks both of them show up now, not just the first one.
π¬ Your own animation lists
Build the list in WickedWhims (Sex > Animations > Playlists) and pick in the mod's panel which one the male NV uses and which one the female NV uses. From then on, attacks by a NV of that gender only play animations from that list, for the whole session.
Pick none and WW keeps choosing as it always did. And if you delete or rebuild the list, the mod notices on its own and falls back to normal selection instead of ending up with nothing.
βοΈ More control in the panel
You can turn fights off, turn the relationship freeze off, and drop the chance of a NV showing up as low as 1% (the old minimum was 10%).

I have a weird glitch, or I don't know if it's a glitch. I have a NV male and two females in the house. I have one marked as the NV's, the other not. Yet every time another NV comes to attack the other they stop at the door and turn and leave. The door isn't locked or anything, the only thing I can think of is somehow the mod is regeistering BOTH women as marked, but they're not.
The mark can't be the problem here β it's stored per victim, not per NV, so marking one woman never touches the other. And the block only applies to that one sim: any other sim in the house is still fair game for other NVs. What you're seeing β walking up to the door, turning around and leaving β is what happens when an NV arrives and finds no valid target for him on the lot. The visit just ends and he goes home. So the question is why the unmarked woman is being skipped. The usual reasons, most likely first: She has the Night Visitor trait herself. An NPC NV never attacks another NV β only your own playable NV can do that. If she's an NV too, she's invisible to every NV that comes over. She's already the target of another NV's visit. Each NV gets his own prey, so a sim who's already someone's target that night is skipped. She isn't part of the household you're currently playing. On residential lots the mod only targets the active household, so a visiting sim or someone from another household sharing the lot won't be picked. Age. Only teen through elder are valid targets.
Is the next update gonna have it to where the family members can call police also too I feel like npc should be able to call police too if they see the nightvisitor attacking somebody in public
Do you mean the home invasions? Yes β I still need to work out the family coming home at the end of the night, or a neighbour stepping in if the NV hangs around for too long. As for public attacks: that's planned too. I want NPCs who witness one to report you, and I want you to be able to report someone else doing it β or even have an NPC step in and save the victim. I haven't built it yet because I still need to weigh the risk against the reward before I commit to it.
