The Restaurant Dev Log #9
Hey guys, I’m back from vacation! I started working on the game as soon as I stepped into my room, and I also have some good news.
A few weeks ago, my main animator decided not to continue because he said he was too busy, so I had to come up with a solution. I convinced my friend Mishel to learn how to make animations, and thankfully, he picked it up incredibly quickly. Today, he finally managed to create his first high-quality animation, and I have to say, I’m very impressed with what I saw.
If you liked the animations in v0.2.4, this time they’ll be 5x better. I can’t show them here, but trust me, I’m really happy with the results
Mishel is already a longtime fan of the game. He knows the story and loves every part of it, which makes my job much easier. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a good PC at the moment, so I decided to rent a workstation for him. It’s costing me quite a lot, but it’s definitely worth it. I hope he continues working on it and keeps creating great animations.
Apart from that, Valeria’s mission is finished, but there are still some missing scenes. I’m working on those as I’m writing this message, and hopefully I can finish everything within the next 5-8 days. After that, I’ll start working on the side quests.
There will be 2 side quests and 2 main quests in this update. Of course, the main quests are VERY long. Once the side quests are done, I’ll start working on the locations for both characters, which will also take some time.
I’m also re-rendering some scenes because I wasn’t happy with their lighting. Over the next 10 days, I’ll be doing my best to fix all the remaining issues in the main quests.
In short, I’m going to be extremely busy for the next 2–3 months. I know you guys expect high quality from me, and I’ll do my absolute best to deliver the highest quality I can.
I only have one problem left: I need someone who knows how to do sound editing properly, because I want to add sound effects to the animations. I can learn how to do it myself, of course, but the problem is the timing. I already have so much on my plate with rendering, scripting, coding, and everything else.
So, if you guys know a reliable sound editor, please let me know!
I’m also streaming my progress on my Discord server. I’m doing full-day streams these days, so feel free to join anytime! There are big spoilers, though, so don’t join if you want to avoid them.

Isn't the person who creates the videos with the new music a sound editor? 🤔. Those songs with lyrics that give away content from the future without us even noticing 🤣! In my opinion, the classic animations from the early versions were fine. Only the first one, with Rachel and Tyler in the bathroom, had slight stuttering. I'm glad you're back with so much enthusiasm. Have a good week 🫡👋!
I make the music videos myself, mate. I was working with PornSFX on the sound editing for the animations, but he got hacked. He eventually came back, but I think he lost his passion for it. He said he didn't want to do it anymore, so he pretty much stopped. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to replace him. I found one guy, but he was asking around $40 for just two 5-second videos, which was way too expensive for me. It's really hard to find the right people, especially someone who's affordable. And yeah, some of the song lyrics are kind of spoilery, but they're still awesome. I'm really hyped about the game! Hopefully, I can put together a really good update.
