v0.2.4 status report #2
Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I’m mostly fine, but a lot has happened since my last post. Still, I’m moving forward and doing my best to deliver the BEST I can. Many things happened outside of my control, and some are still ongoing, but I keep pushing forward.
As you guys know, I have a chronic writer problem. My temporary writer, Hell, said she needed money and had to look for a job, so she decided to quit. I wish her the best of luck (she could’ve told me 10 days earlier, BUT ANYWAY).
I’ve now decided to give Nap, my main writer, who also quit before, another chance to finish what he started. He explained his reasons for leaving earlier, and I told him we’d burn the past and start fresh. So we began working on Valeria’s 80s script (663 renders total). At the moment, around 116 renders have been written.
EDIT=(But it doesn’t really matter who writes the dialogues. I do the renders first and then the script (yeah, I work this way—not the common way). What I’m saying is that the writers follow my direction, so there won’t be much difference in style.)
To be honest, there were some quality issues at first, but Nap is slowly getting back into the flow. When I was creating the renders, I had a very specific vision in mind. If you listen to “Living Like It’s the 80s,” you probably feel that vibe, that’s exactly the feeling I want the script to capture. That sense of magic is EXTREMELY important to me.
I want to show Valeria from a different perspective. Her blood is boiling, and she shares some similarities with Zoey. She’s wild and bold, but also incredibly cute. She’s just AMAZING to me, and I’m dead serious about bringing her to the top spot. I also definitely won’t trash any of my renders after working on them for so long. As I always say, every line HAS to be perfect. If it’s not perfect, we revise it. I want to be satisfied with the results before I show them to you.
Aside from that, we currently have 103 animations. I haven’t counted side-quest animations yet, and 2–3 animations are still missing from that count. With side animations included, I think it’ll be around 115. All animations have their own SFX.. After the release, I’m thinking about releasing the game’s OSTs as well. Demon Sound made 24 tracks in total, and all of them are epic.
I’m really sorry to keep you guys waiting. I’ve been demoralized, depressed, and anxious a lot lately, but I don’t have time for negative feelings. I’ve got to keep going.
Also Valeria has a new song called “You’re a Wildfire,” and I can’t stop listening to it. I’m thinking about making a trailer for the update release using that song

Hey everyone. First off, I just wanted to publicly apologize to all you guys and gals that have been so loyal and committed to this project. I had some shit come up that unfortunately forced me away from the game. It put Xell in a super shitty position and inevitably created delays in the release of the update. I’m currently working on completing the remaining work. With respect to concerns about inconsistencies in the writing style… there won’t be. I’ve written the vast majority of this update and will finish it off. Hell filled in what/where she could. At the end of the day, nothing goes on “paper” without Xell’s final blessing, so the quality of the story will be same and so will the style. I’m getting my groove back with the writing and am looking forward to finishing up as soon as possible. Again all apologies. This delay is on me. You guys deserve the best and Xell is working to give it to you. Happy holidays everyone

You prepared hundreds of renders based on Hell's script, and now Nap has to adapt to them? Do you think readers will notice that it was written by different people? Your writing position is like the Defense Against the Dark Arts position in HP 😱. On the other hand, the other parts of the game are excellent, and everything is going well, so don't lose heart. Let's hope things take off in 2026 🚀🥳🎉! Everything will be alright!
No, man.I prepare all the renders first with a rough idea in my head, not from the script. I do the renders first and then the script (yeah, that’s how I work). So it doesn’t really matter who writes the diologues they all follow my directions. I’m not very good with creating conversations, so this is the way I work.
however long it takes, is perfectly fine. RL keeps having a go at you, and you're enduring better than some of us would, me included. keep safe and rest.
I’m relentless, man. I’m focused on the goal because I know it’ll be good if we do it right. But yeah, until it actually becomes real, things are this tough. Still, I’ll make it work one way or another. I just hate having to constantly change my plans because of unforeseen events. There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. I was being too optimistic, thinking everything would go smoothly.

Yes, the last 550 scenes still need to be written. If Nap achieves the perfection I expect, we’ll be golden. I’m currently dealing with other things, such as new gallery UI renders,I’m renewing them at the moment. The script job was planned to be finished about 3 months ago, but unfortunately a lot of setbacks happened. I really missed working on renders again, but I barely have time for that. I need to finish this as soon as possible, once the script is done, the rest will be easy since most things are almost ready.
