UPDATE v0.6 (Patreon)
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
- Reinstall the ReShade component via the ONE CLICK INSTALLER
- Reinstall the Retextures component via the ONE CLICK INSTALLER
- DYNAMIC PRESETS need to be switched on MANUALLY in the settings window
(see video above)
Almost all elements of the Service Park received major overhauls. For example you should now be alarmed by the Service Park of missing or outdated components (orange triangle at the top of the main menu, orange marked elements in the installers). Other reminders to update some of the components will also be listed in the hover tooltip over the version number at the top of the Service Park main menu.
With all that being said, let's get into the big new function of EVO, the DYNAMIC PRESETS:
The video attached is not just a gimmick (although it starts out as that...), it also introduces this new function and explains its workings.
VIDEO TIMESTAMPS:
0:00 intro
0:25 dynamic presets
4:37 other improvements
6:11 in-depth explanation to the dynamic presets
10:45 Outtakes
In short: once you activate the dynamic presets in the settings window of the Service Park, new dynamic reshade presets will be created every time you go out on a stage, with their settings being determined by some outside factors like, what stage your on? what surface your driving on? what weather you selected? what time of day it is? whether your driving or in a replay? etc.
You can set some preferences regarding these automatically created settings in the settings window of the Service Park: you can change in what circumstances some of the post process effects (bloom, DoF, Reflections) are considered to be applied automatically and you can change the height of the POV headlights and their general brightness.
Heavysnow, heavyrain, heavyfog and night already use specific (but quite subtle) changes for their specific presets. The most noticeable changes however have been made to all the hazy/dusk/dawn weather settings, with some (surely over the top) "proof of concept" changes to their dynamic reshade settings, especially during replays, where all sorts of extra lighting effects are going to be present.
This is the beta launch of this new function and it needs to be tested. Once I'm sure everything works as intended we can go on to fine tune the reshade settings to a more agreeable denominer.
A Full Changelog v0.6 can also be found in the Service Park Launcher, while hovering over the version number at the top.
To update: Download and extract to merge its Maps folder with your existing one in your RBR root folder.
I recommend (re)installing the Reshade and Retexture component through the ONE-CLICK INSTALLERNew to EVO: Download and install the full mod from here.

Hi. I have some trouble with headlights adjustment. My adjustments do not save. When I go to menu and then in the car, my adjustments are lost. The sliders in the launcher doesn’t work. So what can I do? Or what I do wrong?
you need to contact me on discord, so we can figure out what is going wrong here. (@donpedro1921) to start the trouble shooting, change the values of the sliders to something other thn the defaul 0. Then go into your rbr root/Maps/__EVO/evo_data/ folder and please share your settings.json file with me over on discord. Let's find out if the sliders actually store the newly set values.
Great job
Thanks for this, would like to use reshade in vr and have read comments from you saying - install reshade as Vulkan+Openxr - but i dont know what that means or how to do it. Any help much appreciated - cheers
Hey, welcome! Once you have established a working vr installation you might try adding reshade to it. Once you're in the reshade installer it will ask you at one point what version you want to install. Here you can choose between a few options, two of them are Vulkan and OpenXR. As it turns out selecting both of them at this point results in a working VR/Reshade combination. Some report of an extra step they had to take, going to the Rallysimfans launcher and changing the "2d overlay resolution" by a single pixel. Somehow, for reasons yet unknown, this step might be required to make it work. For some it works right out of the box (after installing reshade in the described Vulkan/OpenXR combination) though. If you need additonal help you can just dm me here or even easier, on discord (@donpedro1921)
The dynamic reshade to switch over from menu to active doesnt work. Also the wheel key binding doesnt work as well. I'm launching the game through the service park
sent you a dm to start the troubleshooting.
First thank you. Secondly after this install, I no longer have the option to play online option. Just practice and rally school. How can I fix?
haven't heard of this before. What do you mean? The option vanishes? you see a warning? I sent you a DM.
I’m gonna install this tonight, hopefully it fixes the reshade utility to stop maxing out my GPU usage causing a 40FPS drop and frame time lags.
I remember you talking about that during one of the last update cycles. Please report back. Maybe it is/was a specific shader that caused these frame drops in the past?
Great job
