Exoterra v0.3.7 changelog

Exoterra v0.3.7 is out now!

This update is mostly focused on the new world map and minimap, along with some quality-of-life improvements throughout the game.

The biggest addition is the new world map and minimap. As the road network has expanded over the past few updates, it became obvious that the game needed a proper way to navigate the world. The minimap rotates around the player and displays nearby race locations, while the world map allows you to pan around, zoom in and out, and use clickable buttons to quickly travel between unlocked fast travel locations.

Note: When starting a fresh game, the map travel buttons won't work properly until you've completed the Lobby Circuit race. This is because the first 3 races start automatically as part of the game's progression.

• Added a new race called Outpost Run

• I've also added a Settings menu and a Credits screen to the intro menu.

• During conversations, Kaitlin will now automatically turn towards the character she's talking to, making interactions feel a bit more natural.

• The BFRV will now automatically raise its suspension when driving off-road, helping to reduce collisions with the terrain and making off-road driving a little smoother.

• I've also remapped the keyboard controls. WASD and the Arrow Keys can now both be used to control Kaitlin and the vehicles, and both Shift keys can be used as the boost button while driving.
