February End and Roadmap Update!
This has been our most productive month yet, with over 70 tasks complete, and bringing us that much closer to the end of the current phase of development, which is crazy. But we'll get to that in a minute.
The changelog for this month is still be compiled, but it's pretty big, even with the shorter month. We've got the mermaid, oviposition, respawning encounters, orc story mode, standing grappling, soul crystals, mouth fiend expansion, brothel topping, goblin and orc rematches, world map real time transitions, a second town, town warping, dignity, willpower, new spells, UI hiding, intentional check failing, orc prone bone animation, werewolf animation, belly animation, world map characters, fog of war, hidden areas, and a bunch of other things, tweaks and improvements (check those loading times), and a bunch of bug fixes, some of them long-standing.
With ~150 tasks left in the backlog, that means we've got about two months left in this phase of development, which is super exciting. That would bring us right up to the end of the current backlog below, meaning the second iterations of the battle, world map and encounter systems, as well as towns, dungeons, the brothel, and companions, as well as things like achievements, persistent progress across playthroughs, and unlocks.
At that point we'll likely start investing more time in story mode, as well as fleshing out existing encounters, while continuing to build out the core gameplay systems.
