⚙️ Passenger Routes (ATS) — Load Order & FAQ

This post is the central setup guide for Passenger Routes for American Truck Simulator. I’ll keep it updated and expand the FAQ as new questions come in.

📋 Requirements

• ATS 1.61
• Road Trip: Ford DLC
• Illinois, Iowa and Missouri map DLCs
• Original SCS map

Additional connecting map DLCs may be needed for the wider routes you want to drive.

📋 Recommended Load Order

Arrange these mods with highest priority at the top:

  1. No DeadEnds! — ATS version — Optional, but highly recommended.

  2. Passenger Routes — ATS — Enable one version only.

🚗 Getting Started

  1. Put the Passenger Routes .scs file into Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.

  2. Enable it in the Mod Manager and disable older Passenger Routes ATS builds.

  3. Enable No DeadEnds! for ATS above Passenger Routes.

  4. Load your profile, switch to Car Mode and use a supported Road Trip Ford vehicle.

  5. Open the Dispatch Market to look for passenger jobs.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same file as the ETS2 edition?

No. Passenger Routes ATS is a separate mod with its own map locations and Car Mode implementation. Use the file for your game.

Should I keep older versions enabled?

No. Keep only one Passenger Routes ATS version active. Disable previous test builds before enabling v1.0.

Does Passenger Routes require Road Trip: Ford?

Yes. This ATS release uses Car Mode and includes passenger accessories for the supported Ford vehicles.

Which vehicles are supported?

Passenger accessory definitions are included for the Ford Mustang, Ford F-150, Ford Bronco and Ford Crown Victoria from the Road Trip: Ford DLC.

Other vehicle mods need their own compatible Car Mode and accessory support. Compatibility is not automatic.

Do I need another vehicle mod?

No. You can use a supported vehicle from the official Ford DLC. Extra vehicle mods are optional.

Where do I find passenger jobs?

Use the Dispatch Market in Car Mode with a supported vehicle. The job list depends on your location, vehicle, route connections and driver profile.

Why are there no jobs at my location?

The dedicated network covers Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. Make sure the required map DLCs are installed and enabled, that you are near a supported location, and that your vehicle supports the job.

Also check that no old Passenger Routes version or conflicting map mod is enabled.

Why do pickup points only offer Uber Ride?

That is intentional. Pickup points support Uber Ride as both a starting point and a destination.

The other three services connect airports, hotels and business locations according to their service rules.

Do Airport Passengers jobs start at hotels too?

No. In this ATS version, they start at airports and can end at an airport, hotel or business location. Other services cover different journeys involving those locations.

How long are the journeys?

• Uber Ride: up to 250 miles
• Airport Passengers: up to 350 miles
• Business Passengers: up to 1,000 miles
• VIP Transfer: up to 1,000 miles

Your actual offers may be shorter, depending on the available road network and your driver profile.

Are passengers visible?

The mod includes passenger models and vehicle-specific passenger accessories for the supported Ford cars. People placed at pickup locations are scenery.

Visible results depend on the supported vehicle and its accessory setup. Other vehicle mods may need separate support.

Is No DeadEnds! required?

It is optional, but highly recommended. Without it, invisible barriers may block access to some locations.

Use the ATS version and place it above Passenger Routes.

Does No DeadEnds! unlock missing map DLCs?

No. You still need the official map DLCs for the areas in which you want to drive.

Can I use this with ProMods, Reforma or another map combination?

This release is built for the original SCS map. Compatibility with those map setups is not confirmed. Overlapping sector changes can affect roads, passenger locations and access.

Can I still drive trucks?

You can keep your trucking career on the same profile. Passenger jobs in this mod use Car Mode, so switch to a supported car when you want to take them.
