I've avoided going to a match in Charlotte for as long as they've been in the league. I've heard nothing but horror stories about how their fans are AWFUL. I went to the match today and can confirm, I've never seen worse MLS fans. This lovely girl in front of me turned around before the match even started and started making fun of one our former players who DIED. Just like...out of nowhere. For no reason. I'd barely sat down. And then, despite them winning, multiple Charlotte fans dumped full beers on to us and also our team photographer as the match ended? They were so oddly aggressive and trashy for no reason 😂 never again
