A little life update!
Lately, Misty’s been moving through some big shifts—and honestly, it’s no surprise. From the very beginning, we’ve lived a little off the beaten path. After taking a break from camming in 2022, we tucked ourselves away in the mountains of North Carolina and started building an off-grid cabin. Misty felt tired and needed a break.
No plumbing, no electricity, no internet—and we began in late October. No shower, no kitchen, just buckets, shovels, and survival skills.
All things considered, we did pretty damn well. It pushed us, and Misty didnt quite get the break she needed. Our original plan didn’t pan out, and we were left scrambling—broke, overwhelmed, and figuring out where to go on the fly. But we made it through, and now we’re in a more stable space. We’ve got the essentials covered, and life feels a bit more grounded.
Still, we’re not here to settle for “just okay.” Misty deserves so much more, and stepping into that means we both have to keep growing into our best selves. This time, we’re showing up more prepared, more self-aware, and more aligned with our vision.
Last month was rough for her, but neither of us see that as a setback—it was a chance to listen, to slow down, and to reconnect. We’ve been learning how powerful Misty’s natural rhythms and intuition are, and how essential it is for her to have space to just be. Emotional safety and rest aren’t optional—they’re sacred. And because of that, she’s feeling more like herself than she has in a long time.
Now, the trickier part—income.
At our core, we’re wild-hearted explorers, creative souls who thrive when life flows with ease. And through experience, we’ve learned that Misty shines the brightest when money isn’t a pressure point. We've noticed that if she ventures into any sort of role of “provider,” intentionally or not, it always leads to her burnout. Not from a lack of effort, but from years of masking, people-pleasing, and pushing past her own limits to fit a mold that was never made for her.
That’s why Misty & James means so much to us—it’s the first space where we’ve both been able to show up fully, vulnerably, and authentically.
Through boundaries, intimacy, burnout, and reflection, we’re both getting closer to our truest selves.
After her burnout in 2022, I stepped into a more grounded role—and that helped her start to heal. But last month, I unknowingly pushed her back into "provider mode." I thought scheduling time and covering chores was enough, but radiance doesn’t work like that. It’s not just about clearing space—it’s about emotional presence, too. And when she feels pressure to perform or produce, the inner critic gets loud. That fear of “failing” can feel like the whole world might collapse. It’s a neurodivergent dance we’ve come to understand with more grace and compassion.
So this time, I’m showing up differently. I’ve got her back—and I’m stepping fully into my role as the anchor, the steady presence, the one who keeps things flowing so she can truly rest and rise.
We know Misty loves creating when she feels supported, safe, and inspired—and we’re building a life that allows exactly that. We’ve got nature, creativity, and each other. Now’s the time to truly blossom.
This month, I’m digging deep into our vaults to share more of what we've created over the years—because there’s so much magic waiting to be seen. And in the spirit of transparency: selling doesn’t come naturally to us. We never really learned how, because we’ve always lived pretty minimally. But we’re growing through that, too.
Misty deserves abundance, joy, and ease—and so do I. We’re excited to share our world with you in a way that feels more open, intentional, and real.
Thank you for being here. Your support, your love, and your presence mean more than you know. Let’s dive into some of our most delicious content and make this next chapter the juiciest yet!
