**My review of The Folly Of The World by Jesse Bullington **

I don't know if I want to give this 3 or 2 stars; the beginning had me hooked, I couldn't put it down, it was grotesque, disturbing, engrossing... I was so excited for it and wanted to love this book so bad. And then... then we have 200 pages of medieval politics in Holland which achieve nothing for the plot whatsoever and is so terribly soporific. In the end I was forcing myself to read it just so I could move on... which is a shame because I love the grittiness of Bullington's characters and writing. Ends with a bang, but with many loose ends. Disappointingly unsatisfied, unfortunately.
