I’ve always been interested in how people divide roles in relationships.

Some look for a partner who will take the lead. Others prefer to be the one setting the tone. And some don’t like clear roles at all and prefer everything to stay flexible.

I’ve noticed that the older we get, the less we want to follow ready-made scenarios. We want more adequacy, attention, and mutual responsibility instead.
