I often share with others why my path in life looks a little different from the norm. Because of my health, traditional dating and typical 50/50 relationships aren't really possible for me right now. I know that loving me comes with a lot of responsibility. I have moments where my body simply gives out, leaving me vulnerable and in deep, constant pain. I need to know that the people in my life are a safe harbor—those who can truly look after me when I’m at my weakest.I’m so aware of the weight I carry, and I never want to exhaust the people I care about. My "red flags" are really just my realities. There are many days when I’m silent here because I’m tucked away, just trying to breathe through the intensity of my symptoms. When my treatment finally gives me a few hours of peace, I cherish the chance to do even the smallest things. This little community growing around me has become such a beautiful light in my life. Seeing you all support one another warms my heart more than I can say. Choosing to share my world with you has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Thank you for holding space for me and for listening to my heart. <3
