There’s something about a long day of building that changes the air between us.
The dust, the sweat, the way the sun sits on skin a little longer than it should… it all lingers. You spend hours working side by side, hands rough, minds focused, bodies moving in rhythm without even thinking about it.
And then at some point, the work shifts.
The same hands that were measuring, cutting, lifting… start moving a little slower. A little closer. Like the energy we built all day finally has somewhere else to go.
We say we’re done for the day.
But we both know we’re not.
