Whatever I can’t quite figure out how to build, Tyler does.
There’s something about the way his mind works when a problem won’t cooperate. He studies it. Measures it. Tests it. Curses at it. Then, somehow, he solves it. When I hit a wall, he becomes the architect of the solution.
And yes… I reward him accordingly.
But if I’m honest, the real reward is mine.
There’s a scent that comes from a hard day of work, sun on skin, sawdust in the air, sweat earned honestly. It’s not polished or perfumed. It’s primal. Real. When I hear him outside hammering, muttering under his breath, working through frustration on my behalf… something in me shifts.
I can’t always resist it.
Sometimes I’ll step outside mid project, no warning, The distraction is immediate. His shoulders drop. The tension leaves his jaw. The world narrows. The look he gives me makes my heart palpitate.
Stress melts when desire interrupts it.
There’s something deeply satisfying about being the release after the pressure. About knowing that while he builds the structure, I get to build the moment.
Do you treat your man like that?
