Fought until the very end. Got myself into the battle for 4th place on the final lap, crossing the line in 8th. I struggled everywhere on the circuit that required 2 downshifts because of my heel and foot injury, and for that it took me too long to get to the pack for 4th. But hey, we got there in the end and put up one hell of a last lap to go from 11th to 8th in one final lap dash.

I had genuine podium pace this weekend and I am so frustrated that opportunity was wiped from me. But, it’s how you come back from setbacks like these that are the true fighting stories.
