Sometimes I feel like the recipes on the internet are written by people who have never actually cooked 😂

“Simply fry the onion until golden brown” and there I am, standing over the pan for 20 minutes, wondering how my onion has already gone through all the stages of life.

“Add a little salt” - HOW MUCH?! A pinch? A teaspoon? Or am I just supposed to believe in myself? 😭

And then my favorite part: “Ready in just 20 minutes.” Of course… if you’re already a professional chef, all your ingredients are prepped, and the oven basically cooks everything for you…

But you know what’s the funniest part? I still think every time: “Okay, this time it’s definitely going to work.”

And sometimes it actually does… almost like in the picture 🤭
