Yes, there was a time BEFORE I was letting Myles rub my mum's feet.

But in order to understand my mum at our place, you need to understand that her visits are always pretty much US, making HER stop, relax and take a fucking break! Like a staycation basically.

My mother is one of those late-sixties gals from a time when things were very different. Many of you likely have either a mum or grandma like this, so it shouldn't be hard to understand, but my mum is from a generation that seemly just honestly don't know how to say "No" or stop! 🤦🏼‍♀️

So yea, a few times a year, sometimes more, we fly her down and MAKE her stop! Her jobs are very simple:

Drink 🍷
Relax.
Talk about the weather.
Sleep.
Drink 🍷
Watch Tv.
Sleep.
Doom scroll.
Drink 🍷
Play that fake casino game she's addicted to.
Drink 🍷
Enjoy quiet, relaxed morning coffee's.
Sleep more.
Watch the news on repeat.
Drink more 🍷
Tell us the news several times.
REST.

Which several times during her visits, thanks to her obsession with doing chores, "helping" & "running a house" she get's caught trying to NOT do 😑

All in all though, I'd say Myles and I always succeed and give her the rest she so dearly needs. The rest that she's too stubborn and pig-headed to give herself! But, IN that resting...?

Yea... Like me, she's a barefoot kinda lady.

So for the first few years, you could only image the shows she was unknowingly, unintentionally and accidentally putting on for my hubby! Actually, you don't really need to imagine, I've since talked, laughed and poked plenty of fun at him, prying about all the ways he's eye-fucked my mum's soles, so we could easily and have recreate a few for ya... BUT, turns out that list is a bit longer than my comfort 🤣🤨

(I'll get to it... But he even later brought her coffee and a foot rub in bed once! I swear, and zero offence to my mum, she's a fucking saint, but it's a good thing she's old!! If those 2 met at the same age in like, their 30's? They would have fucked like rabbits 🙄)

But yes, Myles and I like 80% succeed in getting her to totally and completely relax while she's here... Say, barefoot, lazing on the couch... And in the post him massaging her feet year, wasn't Myles just SO very attentive in always making sure her 🍷 was full...

Gee, I wonder why 😏
