Bb can I be honest with you? I’m a good traveler and usually a happy camper in all kinds of situations but I’m pretty bummed:( my friend used to work for a travel agency and her boyfriend is from Brazil so I thought I was in good hands when she said she’d take care of everything. We are staying in a sketchy part of a very big city called Recife. Our uber driver from the airport said be careful and don’t walk around at night because yall arent staying in a good neighborhood. We aren’t close to the water and the water we are kinda close to is the ocean but not a beach. It’s a rocky bulkhead. We need to take a 2 hr uber each way to get to a nice beach. We can’t swim in the water either because these are the deadliest shark attack beaches in the world lol 😂 there are signs everywhere saying no swimming too many sharks 😢 I’m sad 😔 don’t get me wrong I can make the most of anything and have travelled to many foreign countries and I’m not one to complain about a bumpy trip or bad accommodations but to fly 16 hours to stay in a very crowded unsafe block with no access to the beach when she said this would be a chill beach trip is quite disappointing… I kinda want to suggest we book another Airbnb 2 hours away where this beach is but she just got laid off so idk if that’s feasible unless I cover it. I’ll make the most of this trip but damn… ya know :(
