Date Night Episode 2: Reflection On A Year Of OF

YALL. Today marks the one year anniversary of us starting Onlyfans, so lemme tell the tale a little bit ☺️

We discussed making an onlyfans and a Reddit for quite a while before trying it. We weighed the ups and downs, considered what we wanted from it, and how we’d feel about it. The idea of making money was obviously appealing tho we knew the statistics were against that (most OF creators make nothing close to a liveable wage), but we are also exhibitionists and love being sexy with friends at sex parties, having threesomes and group play, and sending salacious stuff to people we like.

We decided to give it a go! I (Jack) didn’t love where my body was at and had weird facial hair 😆. It was an exciting experiment posting in subreddits. We ran into the challenges of verification, karma farm subreddits, and sketchy new nsfw unmoderated subs. We were new to posting on Reddit (tho I’ve been a consumer for many years and know the platform pretty well) so we made some beginner mistakes.

We got that account (Jacknrosexxx, the OG) to 20K Karma and 5K followers. We found some success in OnOffDudes, winniethepoohing, and some random uncut and booty subs (again, sketchy unmoderated ones). Suddenly, early this year, our account was banned. We could only see our SFW cat posts, all our other engagements and posts disappeared which was very concerning and worrisome, and ultimately discouraging.

Our OF record at the time was about 44 subscribers. We were experimenting with PPVs, trying different schedules, learning how to interact with fans. All at once our influx of fans stopped. We tried to reach out to Reddit, to no avail.

We felt a bit defeated and slowed down for a few months. We kept posting intermittently on OF, as our sub count dwindled to 9 🤯

We finally just accepted defeat, reset our intentions, and started our current Reddit account I believe in late May/early June. This time, we weren’t fuckin around. We didn’t touch FreeKarma subreddits, we engaged organically, we set our sights on niche subreddits like OnOffDudes, new fave publicreminders, and Winniethepoohing, as well as broader ones like couples porn. And we started to find actual success.

Our numbers grew very steadily and quickly. When we got to 20K karma this time we had 10K followers. We knew we were doing something right so we sunk our teeth in. Now we’re past 70K Karma and around 25K followers.

Our OF sub record is now just under 400, which is amazing. We are so grateful this has become a chunk of our lives, and we have no plans to slow down. We’re gonna travel a lot next year and start collaborating with other creators, as well as make more vids with friends. We are so proud of how we’ve built this community and following on Reddit and here on Onlyfans, and it’s only up from here.
