SO I JUST WATCHED THE BACKROOMS, AND HERE'S WHAT I THINK - MIlD SPOILERS AHEAD! YOU ARE WARNED!

Overall, I loved the movie. I think it maintained A LOT of the things that made Kane Pixels' Backroom videos on YT so popular, like the cinematography, and the eerie music. Of course with A24 behind it, the quality of these elements was turned up to the maximum, making them so much better.

I heard a lot of people talking after the movie, saying they showed A LOT of creatures and that it took the mystic element out because you saw the monsters a bunch and they weren't scary anymore after a while.

I kind of agree, but also not entirely. When you watch the videos, the monsters are BARELY visible. But these are FREE videos on YouTube.

**The decision to show the monsters a lot is simple: you paid a ticket. If you pay a ticket, they're going to show you everything and make it worth your while. **

Some people also didn't like the story saying you don't really connect with the characters. In this case, I think it's just that people were used to seeing the videos WITHOUT a story and in this case, since it's a movie WITH a story, it could've been a little meh. After all you didn't really watch the videos for a deep story, you watched it to get spooked.

I liked the story a lot, and the most interesting part for me is that it really resembles A LOT to Silent Hill lore, believe it or not. I found it FASCINATNG that they decided to use the Backrooms for the traumatic part of the story instead. I loved that.

**All in all I loved the movie and nobody can get me of this hill simply because I LOVE THE LORE BEHIND!! I've watched ALL of the videos made by Kane and I had been waiting for this movie for so long!! And he nailed it!! **
