Online 24/7, or how to avoid FOMO? 📱💥
You know that feeling when you put your phone down for just an hour, and inside you're already panicking: "What if something happened and I missed it?!" Hello, FOMO—that same fear of missing out that makes us endlessly scroll through our feeds, read tons of news, and check notifications every five minutes. We're so afraid of losing context that we voluntarily flush our focus and mental health down the drain.
A complete digital detox in 2026 is a utopia. We're tied to online work, study, and socializing. But there is a solution: strict content hygiene. Turn off 90% of notifications (the world won't collapse), leave only a couple of targeted channels with news digests, and establish an ironclad rule: no screens an hour before bed and the first hour after waking up. Give your brain some quiet time instead of loading yourself up with other people's lives and panic right from the start.
Do you often get that silly feeling that life is passing you by while you're offline? How do you avoid information overload? I'm waiting for you in the comments 👇🏼
