People see me as the badass, fearless queen—and yes, I am! 😇 But only with the things I know I'm good at. When it comes to new things I know I'm not good at (yet), I tend to skip.
I recently started taking pole dancing classes, and honestly, I got scared. My stomach turned because I knew it was something I wasn’t good at (yet.) I was afraid other girls in the class would laugh at me and make fun of me - because I was one of the weaker ones and needed more time to get the moves right.
That feeling took me back to my younger self—back when I was bullied and told I wasn’t good enough.
But you know what I’ve learned? The biggest bully in that pole dancing class… was me. I bullied myself by assuming others would automatically judge or mock me. But they didn’t.
They helped me.
They encouraged me.
They clapped for me.
They told me I looked sexy.
The bullies from the past still had power over me by making me believe I wasn’t good enough.
But I am good enough!
You are good enough!—even when we’re not perfect. ❤️
With this message, I hope to inspire someone to let go of the past and go after the things you want. Be your perfectly imperfect self. & let me just say: I look fucking hot and sexy on that damn pole! 🥵🥵
