The other day someone told me that I almost never ask for other people’s opinions, and it made them think I’m always so sure about my choices.

But honestly, I just don’t want my decisions to wobble the moment I start seeing myself through someone else’s eyes, that’s usually when little doubts quietly slip in.

When we try to imagine how another person might see us, something soft shifts inside.

You start thinking: they wouldn’t wear this… they wouldn’t say it this way… they wouldn’t act like that - and suddenly you feel a bit shy about something that felt completely natural just a moment ago.

And maybe, at the very same time, that person is silently comparing themselves to you too. We can never really know.

So I’ve learned not to ask for opinions about choices I’ve already made (specially when I’m not ready for the answer or when I know a negative reaction might sting a little, even from someone close).

And with time, this small habit actually helped.

I stopped worrying that my choices won’t appeal to everyone or might raise a brow now and then.

And when I truly feel I can’t be objective, that’s when I gently reach out for someone else’s point of view — only then, and only softly.

P.S. The photos from Greece, consider it a tiny distraction designed specially for you 🤭🤍
