Shards of the Soul
Sometimes it seems like the soul is a single mirror.
And then life strikes itโonce, twice, ten times.
The fragments fly in all directions: one remains in the past, another in the person who left, a third in the job that squeezed everything out, a fourth in childhood, a fifth in the silence that lasted for years.
We walk with these fragments inside us.
Sometimes they cut, sometimes they just lie quietly, sometimes they suddenly reflect the lightโand for a second you see yourself beautiful, even with scars.
But here's what I realized:
the soul doesn't have to become one perfect mirror again.
You can assemble the fragments not into their original form, but into a mosaic.
Glue them together with gold (like in Japanese kintsugi)โand every crack becomes part of a pattern more beautiful than the unbroken surface.
Each fragment is a story you lived through and survived. Don't hide them.
Don't be ashamed.
Let the light shine through the cracksโthat's where the real you shines.
Do you have a shard that's especially painful right now, or, conversely, shining?
