So for my people who wanted some real, I am going to hesitantly post a story I wrote. I would love some feedback on this so I do not feel like a complete idiot. But I know some of these profiles can be so impersonal. I want my fans to know you are following a real individual that would never sell out. The poll spoke, and real won. I hope you enjoy it:
“There was once a girl with pretty blue eyes and long golden hair and everyone was afraid of her. They had heard stories of the girl that her eyes held magic and whose hair was made of real gold. The townsfolk, being superstitious, shunned her out of fear. Until one day a great fire roared through the village and a goat herder, lost all of his herd. Afraid of losing his fortune, decided to ignore the whispers and seek help from the girl. The girl being lonely was delighted for the company and listened to the herder’s plight. Upon hearing his concerns she snatched a few strands of gold from atop her head and said, “take this to the smith. He will give you what you need.” Gleefully the man took the strands and used them to buy a new herd. The townspeople heard of the girls generosity and one by one they came to her sharing their woes. She was delighted for the company. As she wanted to be loved.
As time passed her crown of gold thinned until there was none. The girl, now a woman, with pretty blue eyes that held magic was alone and feared once more.
One night a terrible blizzard tore through the village taking a farmers entire crop. The farmer feeling destitute at the loss of his fortune remembered the girl with pretty blue eyes that held magic. He ignored the whispers and sought help from the woman. Having been lonely and delighted for the company upon hearing the farmers plight, plucked out her left eye and handed it to the farmer. “Here, take this and plant it with your next crop and it will be plentiful.” Gleefully the man accepted and planted the eye with his crop and the next season it yielded a great fortune. The townspeople heard of the woman’s generosity and came to share their woes. “But I cannot give you my right eye, it’s all I have left.” This angered the townspeople, so they held her down and plucked out her right eye and left her.
Time passed and the woman began to shrivel until her skin sagged and she turned crone and was alone and feared once more.
A drought came upon the village. And the crops died. Then the herds. And the people lay penniless and starving. They remembered the girl who once had pretty blue eyes and long golden hair and decided to call on her for help. When they came to speak with her they saw an old crone with no hair and holes where eyes used to be. Her skin sagged from her bones. “What do we do?!” They cried. The crone being lonely and delighted for the company, listened to their woes. Wanting to be loved, she cut off the sagging skin and handed it to the townspeople and said to them, “make this into a stew” it will settle the ache in your bellies until the rains come again.” And the townspeople made a stew and lived off the broth until the rains came, and crops and herds returned.
Time passed and the crone dried up and turned to bones. One day a great flood came and destroyed all of the villages homes. Not knowing what to do they came to the crone and saw pile of dried bones. The bones, having been lonely and delighted for the company, listened to the villagers mourn over the loss of their houses. “Here take my bones, these will make for a sturdy dwelling and you will fret no more.” Gleefully the villagers took her bones and built homes great enough to outlast even the worst of storms…”
