I still laugh when I think about how nervous I was the first time I tried an online match in Overwatch. My hands were shaking so badly that I almost dropped the controller, and every defeat felt like the end of the world. I wasn’t born confident, and I definitely wasn’t the strongest player, but something about those chaotic battles kept calling me back 🎮.
Little by little, I found my rhythm. I learned the maps, practised my aim, and started to hear the rush of adrenaline in a way that felt… addictive. What used to scare me turned into fuel, and every small victory reminded me that improvement comes from showing up again and again. It’s funny how much a game can mirror life itself—messy, unpredictable, but full of second chances and rewards for persistence.
Now, when I slip into my favorite characters and feel that rush, I can’t help but imagine someone playing by my side. Player 2 would notice how my eyes light up when I win, or how I bite my lip when I’m deep in focus. Maybe they’d even tease me when I lose, just to see me blush and laugh. It’s a kind of intimacy you don’t expect from pixels on a screen, but it’s real, and it’s mine 💕.
So I’ll ask you this… if I handed you a second controller right now, would you keep up with me? Or would you let me win just to see me smile? 😏✨
