By the time we pulled up to my hotel he asked for my number,

I was already planning on going out that evening so I got dolled up(relatively basic for me tho, jjust jeans and a black top) and i headed to an arcade bar by myself, they have a few or them dotted round the UK and theyre SO FUN. And yessss I got the high score on the Pac Man machine, still veryyyy proud of that 👾

Going out alone in a new city is always a bit nerve wracking but I have been pushing myself out of my comfort zone lately and honestly it has led to some pretty fun stories, im sure imma be telling you plentyyy more soon, o no xD

But becase of the whole 'New yEAr, NeW me' thing i imposed on myself this year... I took the chance and replied to 'Mr Uber Driver'.

I half expected nothing but my phone buzzed almost instantly.He had finished his shift early.

Asked where I was.

I sent the location without overthinking it. Classic me 🫣

I was halfway through my drink when I saw someone walk in who looked very familiar.

Same smile. Same jacket. And that oh no this is actually happening moment fffff

He walked over and said 'funny running into you again usually I charge for this kind of service.' (He had definitelyyyy rehearsed that line on the way over lmao. Normally I hate cheesy lines but annoyingly it kindaa worked)

I laughed and told him this was definitely not included in the five star ride earlier.

He grinned and said something like, "Good. I’m off the clock now.”

((ugh, i loved when ur immidetely put at ease when u first me et someone, u can tell pretty quickly whether on not you will get on with someone. i got on with in the uber when we were chatting but sometimes when you meet the same person in a different environment you worry itll be different, but luckily this time he was just as nice n chill as earlier on in the day))

We grabbed a drink and ended up sitting wayy too close for two people who had met that morning in the back of an Uber joking about how unhinged this was as a first meeting slash date situation. I didn't mind how close he was and his aftershave smelled very good I will admit 👀

And right when I started thinking wait this actually feels like a proper date he leaned in and said something that made my stomach flip…

And I am still not sure whether I should admit what he said next 😅
