Hey kiddies!!!!! Come gather around for Miss Chrissy to teach and explore with you! By the way, I just bought a sexy schoolgal costume, so stay tuned!😉😋Here's part 2(more detail)from my post yesterday! I told you, you were going to discover knew and interesting things about amputees damn it!!! Ha😜
First off, how freaking cool are these different contraptions people have made for there liners! Mine are in a duffel bag! I think I need to get on it! 😂🤪
Amputees often use multiple liners, including inside and outside liners, for various reasons:
- Comfort and Cushioning: The inside liner serves as a cushion between the residual limb and the prosthetic socket, providing comfort and reducing pressure points. It helps absorb impact during walking or other activities.
- Skin Protection: The inside liner protects the skin from friction and abrasion caused by the prosthetic socket, minimizing the risk of skin irritation, sores, or blisters.(This is extra important for me because I'm diabetic and have been since I was 10 yo!)
- Suspension and Stability: The outside liner, often made of a durable material, contributes to the stability of the prosthetic device. It helps in maintaining proper suspension by gripping the inside of the socket, preventing slippage during movement.
- Moisture Control: Using two liners can help manage moisture. The inner liner wicks away sweat from the skin, while the outer liner, which may be moisture-resistant, prevents excessive dampness inside the socket.(It gets hot and some slipping and sliding happens!)😋😜💦🔥💧🤤
- Customization: Different liners may be chosen based on the user's specific needs, the nature of their residual limb, and the type of prosthetic socket. This allows for a more personalized and comfortable fit.(This is the fun, creative, and resourceful part)
- Prosthetic Alignment: The combination of inside and outside liners aids in achieving optimal prosthetic alignment. Proper alignment is crucial for balance, gait, and overall functionality.
In essence, the use of both inside and outside liners in prosthetics is a holistic approach to address comfort, skin health, stability, and functionality, tailored to the individual needs of the amputee.
Yikes!!!!! That was some serious information there! Anyways, I figured instead of making you pay a couple bucks(min 3$) to watch this video I would just kindly and graciously ask if you would feel ever so kindly to tip me even just 1$? That would be so badass and make me super happy! If you can't tip me, than another way to support me in a very small and simple way is to just like 🩷my post!
***You can only tip less than 5$ through your OF wallet. If you don't have money in your wallet and are just using your card the minimum is 5$. I mean... don't get me wrong, I'll take a 5$ tip! 😆☺️😘
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so very much and I truly appreciate you! Much LOVE Always! ✌️🫶😘
