And then I finally saw what was waiting for me at the end of the path… 🦅
I had no idea when I first walked in that I was heading toward one of Bali's most iconic landmarks the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue.
I found out that the enormous figure is Vishnu riding Garuda, a mythical half-human, half-eagle creature from Hindu tradition. The whole statue is about 121 meters tall, so seeing it appear between those cliffs was definitely one of those “okay… wow” moments. 😳
What I loved most, though, was that this place wasn't just about taking a pretty photo. The whole park is built around Balinese art, culture and spirituality, and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to understand what I was looking at.
I came here thinking I was just going to see something beautiful… and I left with a little more curiosity about Bali than I had before.
Would you rather explore a place like this with a guide who tells you all the stories, or wander around and discover everything yourself? 👀
