❤️🇯🇵 Hokkaido Japan Recap Pt. 25 ✈️❤️

Gorgeous blue beauty called Shirogane Blue Pond. It was formed accidentally in 1988 after a dam was built on the Biei River to protect the town from volcanic mudflows from Mount Tokachii. Apparently, it gets its bright blue color from microscopic aluminum particles that scatter sunlight. Also followed a trail to see Shirahige Waterfall too!
