ππ₯ The cucumber roll. πΈπ¨
I've told the story on one of my live streams once upon a time, but I will share it here with the everyone who couldn't catch it that time. So last time in LA, I had just finished a very late night shoot, but didn't have dinner yet. I go down to the hotel lobby bar to grab a quick bite half an hour before they closed the kitchen.
I saw on their menu they do sushi rolls, but none were vegetarian, so I asked if they could accomodate. The server says they have to check with the kitchen. After a bit, they return and say "The chef is willing to make you a cucumber roll. We _don't usually _make exceptions, but since we're about to close and there's no dinner rush, this is a special case." I'm grateful, I thank them, eat up the 8 bite-sized pieces they prepared for me, and ask for the bill.
WELL. They charged me the same price as a fully loaded roll with 6 fillings/toppings, then put a mandatory 18% gratuity on top. $28 for one roll...** **ππ πΆπ¨π±
The end. π
