Tom, naturally, will expect free gifts and special treatment. He's not like other guys. He "sees me as a person" and respect everything I am, and do.

Tom doesn't know gifts are gifts, not "compensations". Tom feels his time is more valuable than mine and, hence, the time spent on me needs to be rewarded.
