Sky High Confessional #19 - The 3 proudest moments of my life.
I've been really enjoying sharing a little more of myself lately, when I first started out posting nudes online it felt like something very much quite separate from the other parts of my life... But over the past few years everything has gradually converged, where now I feel like collaborating to create content and share the experience with a group of incredible people around the world feels very much integrated with my life overall.
I feeI proud of a lot of things that have happened in my life date, but I thought today I'd share 3 big dreams that came true for me so far...
**1. Getting a scholarship for University. **So for the most part, I didn't love high school - I was pretty good at class, but I was socially very shy and for the most part felt pretty isolated. None of my family had been to university so there wasn't really much academic aspiration or discipline instilled in me at home. But everything changed in the last year of high school. It must have been the first week of the year and something just clicked in me, I realised that doing well was my ticket out of the small town I had never left and somehow that did. I worked INCREDIBLY hard - that whole year I never stopped pushing myself and it paid off. I intentionally chose the subjects that seemed the most 'fun' to me believing that I would do the best at those- and I got almost straight A+ in all my classes (except a B in Maths ๐), was awarded Valedictorian and got a full scholarship for a top University.
**2. Landing a job in Management Consulting. **So after finishing my Commerce Degree, I was honestly pretty lost throughout most of my 20's - I travelled a heap, lived overseas and experienced a lot! All lessons that have served me well now, but I'd also kinda felt like a failure until then... It was then at 31 that I finally got my biggest career break. I'd interviewed with one of the Big 4 consulting firms for 3 different roles over the span of a couple of years and the 3rd time lucky landed the best role of all - Senior Consultant - it was this moment that I knew everything would be ok...
3. Being on the DNA cover... So just last month, this is the most recent, and what DNA magazine really represented my me is a culmination of 3 years focus, sacrifice and hard work. AND most importantly, being recognised for doing what feels really authentic to me.
So yeah, I hope that gives you a little insight into my life so far, and maybe even gets you thinking about what you're most proud of yourself. If you think of anything, I'd love to know - just shoot me a DM xo Zac
