Day Four of Fatty Journal 💕✨
I went out for some drinks and to see live music, which lead me to consider something.
Skinny Rosie never liked bars, or going out, or even dressing up to go somewhere in the first place. My social anxiety would eat me alive before I could even get to my destination. That feeling was amplified when I moved from my small hometown to Chicago.
But now things are so vastly different. When I walked into the bar I walked with confidence, I was able to socialize and enjoy myself without a care for how people were perceiving me or my appearance. I think I am hot, I think my outfit looks nice, I think I’m a real catch who can enjoy a night out regardless of how fat I get. I’ve warmed up into the person I was always meant to be because of my weight gain.
I am outspoken, friendly, kind, light hearted and ready for whatever the night throws at me. Skinny Rosie was never that.
Typically I hear people speak about this phenomenon in reference to weight LOSS. Something along the lines of “I wasn’t myself until I lost the weight” or “I wasn’t confident enough to live my life until I lost the weight”.
But I am the exact opposite, and I am perfectly fine being the outlier in this regard.
Because the feeling of walking into that bar, fat and hot… it can’t be matched. I am living to my fullest extent.
