I do need a second to be strictly whimsical for a tho... I saw his soles a decent amount over the years, but almost always exclusively in like, "ways you'd expect to see candid soles on display" (I'll show another very real way after this post)

But one of the fantasies I did have was this. ☝🏻

His pool table was pretty popular with us. He was really good at it and he genuinely enjoyed playing and teaching us "pool stuff." You could clearly tell that it was actually fulfilling to him, which I think made it also feel fulfilling to us. He wasn't like "old" and "I'm so wise, listen to me" about it either, if that makes sense? He just had real, honest fun with it and enjoyed hanging with us sometimes.

... I daydreamed more than a few times of him sitting with his feet up on/near the pool table like this while he watched us play.
