**Here is today's fun fact! Black History Month Edition! **
**George Crum **(also known as George Speck), a Native American/African American chef, is widely credited with inventing the potato chip 🥔 in 1853 at Moon's Lake House in Saratoga Springs, New York. As the story goes, a customer sent back thick, soggy fried potatoes multiple times, prompting a frustrated Crum to slice the potatoes paper-thin, fry them until crispy, and heavily salt them. The dish, initially known as "Saratoga Chips," was an instant hit, though Crum never patented his creation.
