“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” — Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person
We often think we know exactly what we want… but are those desires even ours? From childhood we’re told we need a good career, a relationship, and to be better every day than we were yesterday. And then one day you notice you’ve been living off a “should” list you long ago mistook for a “want” list 🤔 So sometimes it’s worth asking yourself:
If nobody ever found out about my choice, would I still want it? 👀
Maybe finding yourself is learning to hear your voice through everyone else’s “you should.” 🤍
What do you think?
