Pictures from when I visited my family 2 weeks ago ❤️ It was my grandmother’s 90th birthday so a few members of my immediate family decided to go and visit her! I’ve only seen her on one other occasion in the last ~10 years so it was really lovely to be there and celebrate her.

She lives where we used to go on holiday every year when I was growing up, it’s still one of my favourite places. Walking distance from the beach and river, it’s such a beautiful place. I was up at 6:30am both Saturday and Sunday so I could start the day with a long walk on the beach. I really enjoy how peaceful it is. I also managed to find some time to kayak up the river and got to see all the river birds, even all 4 species of kingfishers that live along the river!

I had a wonderful time reconnecting with family and nature, even if it was only a few days. Hoping I can go back and visit again sometime soon :)
