Hurricane Milton update 5!
We are safe 🩷 that was not near as bad for us as Ian was, thankfully. Boat is okay from what we can see but we can’t walk up to it because of the risk of electric shock. The straps that were tying it down are all broken. My garage has minimal flooding, landscape is kinda messed up, paint messed up, extremely minimal compared to Ian so far. But of course problems caused by wind and water don’t always show itself to the eye, so I assume I will find more later.
My rental houses are ok, the beach condo I can’t check yet. Only emergency services are allowed over the bridge to go to the island.
No power at my house and since I live on a back road it’s always the last priority. So I can’t say when I will get power back. Going to start working on putting stuff back in place later today. My whole house looks like a war zone from the prep we did but I am grateful. Thinking and praying over all those who didn’t make out as well as I did. I know what it’s like. It’s absolutely traumatic to those heavily effected. They're going to need a lot of support.
